★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We needed to get our 11 month old Russian blue kitten check up on behavior issues. The office and staff were so kind, thorough and knowledgeable. They made me feel very comfortable and walked us through the testing she needed to have.Highly recommend this place
July 05 · Sophia OswaltI am a student at MSU and I had a vet at my parents home that was really expensive and seemed luxurious, but the vets never cared about my dog and when my dog would get sick they’d have appointments months out. Last year In search of better flea prevention, I took happy to Shultz, from the beginning they cared about my dog, took my concerns seriously, and prescribed me oral flea preventative, before I even knew that was a possibility… I didn’t have to research ahead of time and bring in my findings… they recommended me things to help him today while also giving me tools for problems that may occur in the future! You can book appointments online and as soon as the next day, and their staff are the most hard working, knowledgeable and kind people I’ve ever seen in a medical space. When I know I will get to talk to the staff there, I am excited to come in. They make my dog feel loved, offering him whipped cream and treats when he’s anxious. Overall, I owe my dogs health and happiness to them!
August 15 · V KumarWe are moving internationally, and our dog is everything to us, so the required paperwork and tight turnaround had us stressed. I reached out to Schultz as a completely new patient, and they were FANTASTIC. Becky knew exactly what she was doing, and kept us posted the whole process. Dr. Malinak was understanding and efficient. The whole team was so great and supportive. I can’t recommend this office enough.
August 19 · Holly KatzEdit: we came back after chatting with a tech who told me it was better since the owner sold the practice. Dr Donahue diagnosed kidney failure in our geriatric dog when the other practice couldn't figure it out. They provided excellent end of life care and were so accommodating and considerate when it came time to say goodbye. They've continued to provide great care for my other pets. The lobby/waiting area has two areas with a divider for the comfort of various species.Old review: This vet was recommended to me when I moved here from out of state, by others from out of state. So it seems like it should be a great vet, since people were driving from out of state to see them. Boy were we wrong. They gave medical advice that made my consulting vets go "HUH?!" We will most definitely be switching vets and I recommend you do as well. Dr Schultz sold the practice and seems to be trying to get rid of patients with his curmudgeon attitude and rudeness. It worked, BYE!
August 28 · DevynReview of Dr. Mallory at Schultz Vet Clinic:My experience with Dr. Mallory at Schultz Vet Clinic was extremely negative. If I could give -5 stars based on my experience with her I would. She was very rude, disrespectful, and insensitive throughout my visit. Rather than showing care and compassion, she dismissed both my concerns and my pet’s trauma. At one point, she even said, “I literally can’t comprehend what you are saying, just stop talking”—a shockingly unprofessional and hurtful comment to make to a client seeking help for their animal. Her attitude diminished not only my feelings as a pet owner but also the seriousness of the situation my animal had endured. I left feeling dismissed, unheard, and deeply uncomfortable. The lack of empathy and professionalism from both Dr. Mallory and the clinic’s management makes me strongly advise others to avoid this location when seeking veterinary care.Unfortunately, the management at Schultz Vet Clinic is no better. Lily, the clinic manager, dismissed my emotions entirely during a phone call and even made a rude comment, saying, “If you would please stop talking so I could talk”—despite the fact that she wasn’t even speaking at the time. She was curt, unhelpful, and made no effort to address my concerns. Because I disagreed with Dr. Mallory’s treatment plan for my sick animal, I was told I could no longer be seen at this clinic. It is clear that at Schultz Vet Clinic, you are expected to “bow down” to the doctors and accept their plans without question; if you dare to voice your opinion or advocate for your animal, your care is discontinued.Veterinary visits can already be stressful and emotional—pet owners deserve to be met with respect, understanding, and compassion, none of which were present here.
