This particular review describes an "unparalleled" level of "unprofessionalism" and a "stressful experience" involving rude and aggressive staff behavior, culminating in the unilateral cancellation of appointments for multiple pets after the owner decided to transfer one pet to a different clinic for financial assistance reasons. This feedback is critical as it directly impacts the overall client experience, trust, and reliability. While one positive review mentions kind service, the detailed negative account of administrative interactions raises serious questions about consistency in customer service and professional conduct when faced with specific client choices. For prospective clients, this indicates a need to approach interactions with a clear understanding of their expectations and potential challenges in communication or administrative flexibility.

However, it is crucial for locals to carefully consider the complete picture presented by customer feedback. While there are instances of positive experiences, particularly concerning the care given to pets and welcoming customer service for specific procedures like spay/neuter, a highly critical review highlights significant concerns regarding administrative professionalism, communication, and client relations. St. Francis Animal Hospital of Durham Reviews
If I had the option to rate this place with zero stars, I would definitely take it.The level of unprofessionalism displayed by the staff here is unparalleled. I made the choice to go to St. Francis after my previous veterinarian retired and sold their practice to them, but that decision has proven to be a significant error! When I informed them that I was transferring one of my pets to a different veterinary clinic, their response was rude and aggressive. They even threatened to delete my account, despite the fact that I have three other pets receiving care at St. Francis with upcoming appointments. I calmly explained that my choice to move just one animal was based on the new clinic's ability to accept assistance from non-profit organizations for veterinary expenses. The woman I spoke with first told me I should just move all of my pets to the new vet practice but then told me that she would make a note of this on my account and before I could even respond to her very rude tone of voice she hung up. Well turns out she proceeded cancel all of my upcoming appointments for my other pets. I’ve spent over 1k at this vet practice within the last month or so. Now, I find myself in a frantic search for a new veterinarian for all of my animals. This has been one of the most stressful experiences I have ever faced with a veterinary practice.. i genuinely miss Angel the old veterinary owner. So sad what this place has came to
Jun 11, 2025 · Yikes YikesCan't thank the staff at St. Francis enough for taking such great care of my Boujee. The customer service was as kind and welcoming as their care. Highly recommend if you're taking your puppy for spay/neuter.
Apr 02, 2025 · Julia WalkerDr Banes and her staff are wonderful! They are so attentive, caring and innovative and our pets love them. We are very grateful to have them available to us and our babies.
Mar 28, 2025 · Abigail PeelerCompetenly delivered care, but with business needs met first. Not sorry- I can never recommend a practice of any kind that would deny or delay the treatment of literal life saving care. Bottom line.Especially especially especially to deny/delay care to a pre-existing business client who has spent well over 1K in the care of their multiple pets.At St. Francis it’s just business.I can’t accept that.Change your name maybe.
Jun 11, 2025 · Maritza OrtizThank goodness I found these guys! My old vet retired. I thought i would never be able to replace her and the staff. Dr. Ashe and staff have been the best. Kind, caring and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for all your pet needs!
