★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Taylor Animal Hospital of Smithville are the best. From the time you walk in the door til you leave you and your animal family are treated with lots of respect, love and kindness. Dr Holly Smith and her staff take the time to explain things in detail to you. If one of my fur animals need to be seen or if I have a question then this group will go outta their way to help accommodate or explain in detail. I would be lost without these ladies! Keep up the great work and a big THANK YOU for all that you have done.
June 02 · Amy LandesOur local hometown veterinary office Smithville Animal Hospital was bought out by Taylor animal hospital also in Parkville, MO. (other location) about a year ago. They retained our favorite vet Dr. Holly who we love and had been seeing for several years and she cared wonderfully for our little Yorkie Otis since birth. She helped us thru some rough patches with Otis over his little life of 5 years. After Dr. Taylor & his wife took over he was quick to come into our following appointment and introduce himself and ask about how things were going & what I thought of the changes.I appreciated this. First keeping Dr. Holly on was paramount to us staying with clinic.Next they gave the place a favorable face lift inside & out.All of the staff are courteous, kind, polite & professional. They are all great with Otis our little fur baby.
August 03 · Paula DoleshalI took my dog to this clinic for a teeth cleaning. I was told by two clinic staff members that I would be notified if anything additional was required during the procedure. After the cleaning was completed, I received a call indicating that they had extracted a number of teeth without my knowledge or consent. After talking to the vet, it was confirmed the teeth were not infected and pulling them was a preventative measure. This was not discussed with me prior to the visit and resulted in a significant extra cost. The vet also informed me that it is not part of the clinics policy to notify the owner during a procedure if anything additional is needed when the pet is under anesthesia. While I understand that there is a level of risk to keeping the pet under, the lack of communication allows the clinic to make decisions on the owners’ behalf and the owner is left with the bill.
August 26 · Sydney AlexanderThey took very good care of my pup. They cared more about his health than trying to upsell me on pointless procedures for my pet. They're honest like a farm vet, and easy to schedule with. The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and competent. I will continue being a customer as long as they're here.
May 29 · Chris KVery professional. We adopted a kitten from a rescue and he had a cough and mattered eye. Dr. Smith treated Sammy and diagnosed the problem. Sammy was well within three days. Also my German shepherd had, unfortunately come to her last days. Dr. Smith and one of her staff came to our home and put Nikki to rest. Very understanding and passionate people. Friendly staff and professional services. Here's Sammy's before and after picture. And of course Nikki's.
