Preventive Dental Care: This is a cornerstone of their practice. Services include teeth cleaning for dogs and cats, routine dental services, and home dental care recommendations. They perform a complete oral exam as part of every visit.
Advanced Dental Diagnostics and Treatment: To get a full picture of your pet's oral health, they use advanced tools such as digital dental radiographs and periodontal probing. This helps them accurately diagnose and treat conditions like periodontal disease, fractured teeth, and oral masses.
Surgical and Anesthetic Care: The clinic is highly skilled in oral surgery, including tooth extractions and biopsy of oral masses. They prioritize safety with advanced anesthetic protocols and continuous anesthetic monitoring for all procedures requiring general anesthesia. Pain management is also a critical component of their surgical care.
Primary and Specialty Care: While their focus is on dentistry, they also provide primary care services such as veterinary examinations and consultations. This allows them to function as a specialty care provider that can also handle some general health needs.
Additional Services: The clinic also offers an online pharmacy for convenient prescription management and laboratory services, including a complete blood count, to ensure a full picture of your pet’s health before any procedure.
There are several key features that make The Pet Dental Clinic a standout choice for pet owners in Arizona.

This specialization allows them to handle complex cases, from minor procedures to extensive oral surgery.
Commitment to Safety: The clinic's use of advanced anesthetic monitoring and comprehensive pre-anesthetic testing, such as a complete blood count, demonstrates a strong commitment to the safety of every patient. This is particularly reassuring for pet parents who are concerned about general anesthesia.
Compassionate and Transparent Communication: Customer reviews highlight the staff's dedication to taking the time to "explain everything" to clients. This open and detailed communication helps to build trust and ensures that pet parents are comfortable and informed throughout the process. One client noted receiving calls or texts "every step of the way," which is a rare and highly valued feature.
Welcoming and Inclusive Environment: The clinic’s commitment to being an LGBTQ+ friendly and transgender safespace creates a welcoming environment for all members of the community, which can make a significant difference in a client's overall experience.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The whole staff including the technicians, the receptionists, and the doctor were so kind! Everyone took their time explaining everything to my mom and I so that we could have the best possible experience! It was Mayzie’s first dental and the team took such great care of her. I am very pleased with the service and care she received. I will be recommending this clinic to anyone with pets in need of dental cleanings :) 🩷
May 14 · Emma BurninghamWhat a wonderful and professional Dental clinic. My girl needed teeth cleaning badly and her teeth were overcrowded and two already fell out. She had to have 18 teeth surgically removed. The Vet talked to me before she went under about blood test results and either called or texted every step of the way. He explained in detail what the X-rays showed before extracting 18 teeth. I also received more than one call from the office staff who were wonderful to talk to. I highly recommend The Pet Dental Clinic and would never go anywhere else!
July 08 · Liz HolmesI cannot recommend The Pet Dental Clinic enough. We had such a wonderful experience with getting our 4-year-old dog's teeth cleaned. I was so anxious about putting him under and having this procedure done that I'd literally been putting it off for months until we met Dr. Heuchert! He was so kind and patient with us and our anxious pup, and we felt very comfortable and confident proceeding with the care plan he laid out for us. We had our pup back shortly after lunchtime, and he's been recovering great. The office called us twice to check in on how he's been doing post-procedure, and they have been so great at answering all our questions. They also trimmed his nails while he was under anesthesia, which was such a nice touch!
August 19 · ceilidh jacksonFirst time for our 5year old shepherd to have her teeth cleaned. It was a great experience- all the staff were very kind and supportive. The doctor was excellent. He explained all the details of the procedure and ensured my understanding of the anesthesia process. They kept me informed during the procedure and the doctor called and informed me of his findings. They called when our dog was ready to come home and had recovered from anesthesia They clinic was outstanding in all ways!!
July 24 · Richard PetersonThe team at The Pet Dental Clinic are very compassionate about animals and knowledgeable about dental procedures. The communication was excellent in describing our kittys dental needs. We also loved the folder given with all the info about our pet along with pictures of his teeth.
