★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I would recommend to anyone. They took such good care of my 15 year-Baby girl dog. When it was time for her to get her Wings Dr Canter was amazing and patient and caring. I would definitely take any of my pets there. Thank you to the staff for being so kind during a very hard and emotional time. Run in Paradise, baby girl
May 31 · Dana OsorioLove this vet. I’ve been taking my dogs to the Village Vet’s for several years (first Decatur, then Ponce, now Westside), and all are great locations but I’ve settled in at Westside with my newest pug. He’s had all his checkups, shots and one-offs since I got him at Westside and he loves it there. I very recently had a small freak out when my pug got his tongue stuck in a rubber toy and I couldn’t get it off. Westside saw us at a moments notice and got the toy off in minutes. And they did it at no charge. Such good people! And It’s actually not the closest location to me, but the staff and the easy parking makes the extra 5 minutes worth it. Thank you Westside!
March 14 · victoria f.I cannot recommend Village Vets enough! I'm always able to get a timely and convenient appointment. The staff from the front desk, techs, and vets are all very kind, listen with a kind ear, provide clear explanations/directions, offer treatment plans in conjunction with the pet owner's input/satisfaction, and give my pup the best care and treatment. One of my favorite parts is that if my girl has ever come in sick, they ALWAYS place a follow-up call with a day or two to check that she's improving and doing well.I decided to try this place out after reading reviews when first moving to Atlanta nearly 3.5 years ago and have never had a single negative experience or interaction. Thank you for providing such great care and customer service!!
July 28 · Ashley HiltonWe’ve trusted Village Vets for over 16 years and always received excellent care for our late dog, which makes our recent experience with our new puppy’s broken paw all the more heartbreaking. We took our 10-month-old mini poodle to Village Vets (Westside) after she fell off the bed. After X-rays and an exam, we were told her left paw was displaced and her right paw had a hairline fracture. The treatment plan given was weekly cast changes for several weeks, and we were assured she could heal without surgery.By week 2 of cast changes, we were told by Dr. Jenkins one of her bones had punctured through the skin and her paw was now infected. To say we were heartbroken is an understatement, but we continued to trust the vet’s advice. At the 3rd visit, our appointment was at 9am that morning; by 10pm that night, we discovered the cast had come completely off. We rushed her to BluePearl ER, where we were given a much more realistic assessment. The ER veterinarian explained that the treatment plan we had been following was not the best approach, and we were faced with possible amputation due to the broken bone, pierced skin and the infection.Since Village Vets was closed over the weekend, we called first thing Monday morning to explain what happened and to request a refund for that visit. We spoke with an Operations Manager named Amber, whose response left us deeply disappointed. She first suggested our puppy had “grown in size” as the reason the cast fell off which makes no sense, as she has been 8 lbs for months. At one point, she stated that the sedation noted in my puppy’s records ‘meant she was a misbehaving dog.’ What professional says that to a pet parent during such a crucial and emotional time?We are devastated by the way this has been handled from the initial treatment plan to the lack of compassion and accountability when we raised our concerns. This has been an extremely painful experience, and we expected far better care and communication. We deserve not only a refund for the last visit but an apology.UPDATE: I was contacted by the Operations Manager, Amber, regarding my concerns. Unfortunately, the conversation was unprofessional and escalated into a heated exchange. This interaction only reinforced my original concerns about the handling of my puppy’s care beginning with the first veterinarian, Dr. Kanter, failing to discover the open wound where the bone was exposed. This is about more than a refund; it’s about accountability and the quality of care. My intention is to share my honest experience so other pet parents can make informed decisions.
August 19 · Ron SDr. Jessica Jenkins has taken exeptional care of my little Yorkie for many years keeping him in the best of health. Everyone here is so kind and caring and I trust them explicitly. I recently had a horrible scare when Bentley ingested chocolate and became gravely ill. Thanks to the expertise of Dr. Merrow and 5 days in ICU, he survived. I was so devastated at the possibility of loosing my fur baby. Lay, the beautiful young lady at the front desk sat with me and comforted me. As an ER nurse who has been on the other side, this meant the world to me. Thank you Village Vets, I will be forever grateful.
