Town & Country Animal Hospital Reviews
We have treated with Ferris for a few years and were a little nervous returning today. Our experience was great! Sam was awesome and Dr. was thorough in his recommendations. They were transparent with the costs involved for all treatment and the staff was very supportive and friendly. Pleasantly surprised and will continue our care here!!
May 30, 2025 · Shelli FrewHello all,My family and I have jointly used Town & Country vet clinic for over thirty years under Dr. Ferris. Under Dr Ferris the treatment was correct for a fair price and the office was orderly and respectful. And when I brought my pups in Dr Ferris would at least say hi.However under the new ownership, this is not the case. The office now has a smell of urine, timeliness is not their concern, and the staff is politely rude at best. Never even met the Dr after now two visits. They have managed to lose the records for my dogs, so now we have incomplete records. Best yet due to their inability to keep the record they are now denying treatment to one of my dogs. This office is not the same and DO NOT expect the same service or quality of vet care any longer. I will be switching vets. I highly recommend everyone switch.
Apr 16, 2025 · andrew leeI have been taking my animals there for six years now. My lab, Atlas, had a mast cell tumor removed last year when Dr. Ferris owned it. No problems from the surgery whatsoever and Atlas healed great. Unfortunately, it came back and I took him to have it removed again on Friday, March 7th, only this time, Town & Country was under new ownership. Not only did I pay over double for the MST removal, they outsource the surgeries performed there. They removed the tumor and closed the incision with dissolvable sutures. He was sent home with only a pain medication and no antibiotics. The pain meds gave him extreme diarrhea and they had me stop in to get fortiflora and told me to continue with the medication. That was on the following Monday. By Wednesday, he still had diarrhea, but he was also vomiting. They had me bring him back in where we discovered he had lost 8 pounds in under a week. They just prescribed a special food to help his stomach and told me to discontinue the pain medication. Two days later(a week after the surgery), his incision was massively infected and I had to go back to pick up an antibiotic for him. Two days after that, on Sunday, the incision reopened because the fluid from the infection caused the sutures to dissolve prematurely and I had to rush him to the emergency vet in Indianapolis, where a tie over bandage was sutured over the open wound. Two weeks ago, the bandage was removed and his wound re-sutured. We go back tomorrow(April 14th) to finally have them removed. I have submitted everything to my pet insurance. It’s been over a month and Town & Country still hasn’t sent in the medical records despite me and the insurance company requesting them several times now. I didn’t plan on leaving a bad review, but I am just fed up with the unprofessionalism and blatant disrespect for their clients. I advise everyone to take your pets to a vet where they will be cared for properly.
Apr 14, 2025 · Kelsey McGinnisI would minus 110 stars if I could! Since owner ship changed, these people at this office are careless about your animal! It is all about lining their pockets. My dog is on 3 medications due to congestive heart failure. With doctor Ferris the GOAT, it was about $67 for all 3. I went today and it is up to $97. The young ladies at the desk told me when I asked that Dr Ferris wasn't up charging the medicine from much of what he paid for it! I hope ALL OF DR FERRIS CLIENTS MOVE TO ANOTHER ESTABLISHMENT! DOCTOR G is a greedy veterinarian and doesn't truly care about your animals it's all about the money for them! Dr Ferris staff stuck it out while the ownership has changed, even they have said that this new doctor and their prices are unreasonable and jumped ship! I TRULY HOPE THEY CLOSE THEIR DOORS AFTER LOSING ALL OF DR FERRIS CUSTOMERS! THEY ARE GREEDY AND IN IT FOR THE MONEY!
Apr 28, 2025 · danielle trueI have used Town and Country Clinic since the early 90’s and have always had timely courteous service. I always felt like Dr Ferris had mine and my pets best interest at heart.During the change of management my record must have been lost causing refusal of treatment for my dog today. I waited over 45 minutes for my appointment only to be told that my vaccination records weren't up to date. Considering my pet had a 3 year rabies shot in 2022 I think she is current. Additionally, I have had my pet in there every July for shots and a check up.The entire atmosphere of the clinic is rude (except for the front desk girl) and while I expected a price increase with a new vet I didn’t expect the pressure sales job. Because I didn’t agree with their protocol they refused my dog service.Well it was good while it lasted I’m finding a new vet. Please consider the reviews after the transfer of the business at the end of 2024 before making your decision on vet care
