VCA Mountain Vista Animal Hospital Reviews
I brought my dog here once before, 6 moths or so, long story short I was given the wrong shampoo, or doc made wrong call, I fixed problem by getting right shampoo she has allergies. This morning, July 3rd, she has bad ear infection, had to get her in. I have no vehicle at moment, got here at 10:50ish, there's one lady with her doggy. I was informed that as a " walk in ", there will be a 150.00 charge for that service, then charged for exam, etc.I asked what my options were, next available appt. July 14th, so I guess I have no choice, I'll do walk in. She starts to put me in, asked if I've been here before, i say yes, so I asked if the extra charge still applies, she said yes. Before I could keep my mouth shut I told her that is one helluva way to treat your returning clients. Shortly after, sitting here looking at an empty waiting room, keep in mind, the reason for the 150 xtra is because they have appointments and a walk in would disrupt those appt's, I decide I am going to another vet. To charge that much extra, just because they can, means only one thing to me, their only concern is what they can get out of you. That's the only" above and beyond" with this place. These are the appt's I would've been interrupting...🤫
Jul 03, 2025 · samantha eatonLiterally the worst service in the entire valley. Staff needs to be retrained on how to be an effective pet care provider. I have tried booking appointments three different times and got the runaround. One time came in for an emergency with my dog, throwing up all over the front office and they still refuse to see me and I’ve been a customer of VCA for 13 years. When I tried to book an appointment this morning, the lady that answered the phone was not helpful at all, and when I expressed my unhappiness, she emailed me my files so that I could go to another vet instead of trying to keep me as a patient and apologizing for their Lack of professionalism . Good riddance. I do not recommend this location at all. Not if u love your pet.
May 07, 2025 · Sonya WalravenI have never had a dog so happy to go to the vet. This is the 2nd time they've seen her, and my Rosie seriously loves every staff member. She is currently moping around the house and I think it is because she misses her new friends there. The front desk lady was so correct, though. Rosie hates the bonnet cover, and yes, me, her mom, is having so much fun keeping it on.
Jun 04, 2025 · Jennifer GillSo I need to change my 5 star review to a minus 1 star review. I've been coming here for years. I took my baby girl in Feb 10 with a mild cough. Tail wagging and all. They took her to the back, and the next day, after almost $800. she came out in a doggie bag on her way to the crematorium. My other boy had been patient for years also. Yeah he issues. I get meds for him regularly, so he's not in pain. Guess what? I went with another pharmacy because it was more than half what I was paying them. They refused to honor the prescription. They said they needed to see him to approve the prescription. Hmmmmm! What another 5, 6, or $700. to tell me what you originally told me in the first place? No, thank you. I still have five furbabies, and I will be taking them elsewhere from now on. I was warned about VCA years ago, but Mountain Vista wasn't a VCA facility at the time. They're all about the money. That's their bottom line. Take care of your babies and go elsewhere.
Jun 10, 2025 · Danny SmithIf I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Dr. Taylor and his team have been a god send to this panicked dog mom. The communication, empathy, and thoroughness of not only Dr. Taylor but everyone we came in contact with is unlike anything we’ve received at other veterinary offices. Our girl was taken care of like she was one of their own and is quickly on the mend. Thank you!!!
