★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of the worst days happened to my family earlier this week, our sweet William Walter White had to be put to sleep unexpectedly. When I tell you how WONDERFUL the staff was…I don’t even have words. From the front desk, to the vet tech, to the vet herself…there was so much love and compassion for my blue eyed boy. Death is so hard, but they gave William dignity in his death, including LOTS of treats before he passed peacefully in my arms. The vet explained the process in empathetic detail and gave me time to process and say goodbye. The clinic was closed, but I didn’t feel rushed. I’m so sad our baby is gone, but VCA Vitality? I hope they’re around for a very long time to help other families get through a painful decision. Thanks so much for caring about William.
August 21 · CANDICE BOSSStarted fine but didn't end with happy customers. We will never be back to any VCA office. Everything was overpriced, personnel became curt when we started asking questions and refusing broad spectrum unnecessary treatments. We had to call in to get test results, there was zero followup on our pet.
June 16 · Laura MilburnSo, I was in there yesterday. When I finally was taken to the back, 30 minutes into my appointment, I had made 2 weeks prior I waited a couple more minutes. The lady that came next quoted for some vaccines and everything, $187. I said I need to make a phone call. She said go ask the lady up front to use the phone real quick. So I did, she said I couldn't and to go ask the lady where. I said she already told me here. So I went back into the other room and there was someone else. I said I just want the Bravecto, and the deworming medicine. I have been to the vet 3 times and all I have wanted each time was these 2 things. So, I didn't want to sit there for the other stuff right now. I agreed to make another appointment for that other stuff. So, this new lady gave me a different price. 35 dollars different than what I was going to pay. But if I came back another day, it was $88 vs. the $35. When I asked if there were side effects. She said "yes, let me show you" She was just all around rude. The vet came in and she mentioned I was having financial problems and need to check with my mother. Then when we were out in the lobby, she mentioned in front of the other customers or clients thatI need to call my mom. She was just rude and seemed to not like men. Overall, it was mostly this rude short haired lady with tattoos.. Rude3 as rude can be and she shouldnt be dealing in customer service.
July 23 · Troy JacksonEdit to add: When you read the reviews on this page, please remember that while every single person has a valid experience, 1. a lot of these negative reviews are from people who have just experienced a crisis and are in a heightened state, 2. VCA is NOT an emergency vet and instead directly recommends Wilvet Salem for emergency services, and 3. A lot of us regulars forget to review, but are regulars for a reason.I come here every month and I'm a member of the care plan. I have a senior cat who needs a little extra care, and every single staff member I've talked to here goes above and beyond to make sure she's comfortable and healthy! They're very gentle but efficient, and the care plan is worth it in my opinion - it covers the cost of each wellness check, yearly vaccines, and 1x/yr check-ins like bloodwork, fecal, etc - so the only thing I usually pay separately is just for her actual medication. I won't lie and say it's cheap, but it's definitely not more expensive than similar care in our area, and it's absolutely worthwhile if you need to come in more than a couple times a year.
November 22 · Joriel Jaydidn't like this place, and neither did our puppy. tried to get us to get his heart checked out with very expensive procedures without any good reason behind it aside from being a cavalier, and when they went to take his temperature they sounded like they were being rough with him and scaring him. we found a better vet over in aumsville and haven't changed since.this was about 7 years ago, but i realized i never actually wrote a review, so here you go. hopefully things have changed with this place.
