Services Offered
Vetco Vaccination Clinic focuses on essential preventative veterinary services. They are not equipped to handle sick pets, emergencies, or perform procedures like spaying or neutering. Their specialization allows them to offer these crucial services efficiently and at an affordable cost.
Vaccinations: This is the primary service offered. The clinic provides a wide range of vaccinations for both dogs and cats, including required rabies shots and other core vaccines. They offer transparent pricing and package deals that can save pet owners money compared to a full-service vet clinic.
Pest & Parasite Prevention & Testing: The clinic offers essential services for heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. They can perform necessary tests, such as heartworm tests, which are required for the purchase of heartworm medication. This is a critical service for pets in Wisconsin, where pests are a year-round concern.
Microchipping: Microchipping is a simple yet effective way to protect your pet and increase the chances of them being found if they ever get lost. The clinic provides this service at a reasonable cost, offering peace of mind to pet owners.
Petco Pharmacy Fulfilled by Vetsource: The clinic offers a variety of prescription medications through their pharmacy, fulfilled by Vetsource. This includes prescription flea, tick, and heartworm solutions. The convenience of being able to get necessary prescriptions at the same time as a vaccination visit is a major benefit for many clients.
Features / Highlights
The unique model of Vetco Vaccination Clinic presents several key features that are attractive to pet owners.
Affordability: One of the most significant highlights is the low cost of services. The clinic aims to make preventative care accessible to all pet owners by offering vaccinations and other services at a lower price point than many full-service veterinary hospitals. They often have no exam fees, which further reduces the cost of a visit.
Convenience: The clinic's location within a Petco store makes it highly convenient. The ability to schedule an appointment and get your pet's vaccinations or microchip while also doing your pet supply shopping is a major time-saver. Their appointment system also helps to ensure quick service.
Specialization: By focusing exclusively on preventative care, the clinic is highly efficient at what it does. This specialization allows them to handle vaccinations and related services smoothly and quickly, which can be a relief for pets that get anxious at the vet.
Mixed Customer Experience: It is worth noting that customer reviews for this clinic are mixed. One review praises the "absolutely amazing people" and how they make a "anxious cat feel welcome." This highlights the compassionate side of the staff. However, another review describes the staff as "rude" and the experience as "terrible." This indicates that, like any service-based business, individual experiences may vary. It's important to approach with an open mind and a clear understanding of the services provided.

What is Worth Choosing
Vetco Vaccination Clinic is worth choosing for Wisconsin pet owners who need to keep up with routine preventative care in a budget-friendly and convenient way. This clinic is not a substitute for a primary care veterinarian who can diagnose and treat illnesses. Instead, it serves a specific and crucial role in the pet health ecosystem. For a pet that is generally healthy and just needs its annual vaccinations, microchipping, or parasite prevention, Vetco offers a streamlined, no-frills solution that saves both time and money.
The transparent pricing and focus on specific services are major advantages. The ability to easily get required medications through the Petco Pharmacy is another significant benefit. While the clinic's customer reviews are varied, the positive feedback highlights a staff that can be very caring, especially with anxious animals. This suggests that the staff is capable of providing a great experience, and it may be a matter of individual personalities. For pet owners in Onalaska and the surrounding areas, Vetco provides a valuable service by making essential preventative care more accessible than ever before, ensuring that more pets can receive the basic health care they need to thrive.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Absolutely amazing people! Never fail to make me and my anxious cat feel welcome
August 18 · C DawgDo NOT come here and waste your time. Rude staff. Terrible experience all around.
August 16 · Riley HansonDo not count on vetco because they will cancel last minute with no reschedule option offered less than 1+ month out and no explanation offered
March 29 · Jennifer LynnExcellent doctor great staff very organized fast friendly highly recommended great price
June 22 · Jesse SAppointment times don't mean anything and the vet techs don't go by the appointment times either so I ended up being late for work. It's basically first come first serve so this needs to be addressed and corrected!! People in line budge or cut you off to get ahead and it's chaos. Once you were seen it was a rather smooth transition and in and out if it was just vaccines. If labs were ordered they drew the blood and had you wait out in the store to keep the line moving.
