When considering Vetco Vaccination Clinic, it’s worth weighing its benefits against potential drawbacks. The clinic's focus on core services like vaccinations and preventative care is a key advantage for pet owners seeking efficient, targeted veterinary visits. The location inside a well-known pet store also adds a layer of convenience, making it easy to stock up on supplies while attending to your pet's health needs. However, customer feedback highlights some areas to be aware of. Some clients have reported experiences with a lack of clear signage, which can cause initial confusion upon arrival. Others have noted occasional issues with communication and a perceived lack of professionalism from staff. It is also mentioned that some clinics may engage in an "upsale" approach for vaccines, which could be a factor for budget-conscious owners. While the appointment system is designed to improve efficiency, a few clients have reported delays.
Ultimately, choosing Vetco is a decision that often comes down to prioritizing convenience for essential, routine care. For a pet owner who needs a quick and easy way to get vaccinations or a microchip, the clinic’s model can be very effective. It’s important to arrive prepared with all necessary paperwork, such as previous medical records, to ensure a smooth visit. While some reviews point to communication issues, the core services offered at Vetco remain a valuable resource for maintaining your pet's health. Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
We usually love Vetco but our last trip (7/20/25) to the clinic for our dog's vaccine was chaos. The vet tech who checked us in kept saying how much she did not like the doctor she was working with that day and was also mouthing expletives when walking away from said vet/doctor. The vet then asked us for "county records" instead of previous medical records which confused the entirety of the folks waiting. We had an appointment at 11:30 am and were called in a first come first serve manner, and ended finally having our dog seen at vaxxed at 12:00 pm. While we understand the need for paperwork, the lack of professionalism from the lead vet and the check in counter was egregious. I pointed out our dog's rabies tag and the vet gave a snippy response "Well, that doesn't help us." We have our vet records ready for you if you need them, but those are different from county rabies records. Get your facts straight and attitudes better. We may start going to VCA after our pet's boosters are completed. Life is tense enough, and I don't need my dog stressed from your crummy attitudes.
July 20 · Camille Craigthey need to have better signage at the entrance to the Vetco Clinic, sat in the waiting area for about 10 minutes to have a very rude punk tell me that the clinic that does shots is located in the back of the store, would've been nice to have some sort of signage. Get ready for the upsale like a used car lot for the vaccines.
August 25 · Bill NewcomerI regret choosing petco for vaccine services for my dogs. I thought it might be cheaper, but in the end it's the same cost as what I was quoted by my local vet. I thought it might be more convenient, but it appears that multiple appointments are booked at the same times and my wait times have been variable. I didn't expect it to be personal as it's within a chain store, but this is far below my expectations. The staff seem stressed and overworked. There is no waiting area or place to sit and I end up standing in the doorway. It has been different staff members on all levels from reception, to vet tech, to vet. I expected this service to be slightly worse than choosing my local vet, but that it would be made up for by savings. In the end it's the same price and the overall experience has been terrible.
February 13 · Guy LaverneNot much point in setting an appointment and answering the questionaire as you will be put in line behind walk-ins and when they finally get around to you, they ask the same questions that were asked on the questionaire. We were there to get both dogs vaccines updated so not to go past due per their email. Very lame!!! appointment at 11:50, arrived at 11:40 as requested, finally left at 12:25.
August 12 · Gerald McGThey were efficient and complimentary about my kitten. I bought the full immunization package but did not get any paperwork about what it entailed, what the first shot was, what the next would be and all the benefits of the package were.
