Vetco Vaccination Clinic focuses specifically on delivering core and lifestyle-dependent vaccines, making it a streamlined option for those looking to keep their pets up-to-date on their immunizations without the need for a full-service veterinary visit. This specialization allows them to often offer services in a more efficient manner, catering to the busy schedules of New Hampshire residents. While their primary focus is on vaccinations, it's important for pet owners to understand that a dedicated vaccination clinic complements, rather than replaces, the comprehensive care provided by a full-service veterinary hospital. However, for the crucial task of keeping vaccinations current, Vetco Vaccination Clinic serves as a valuable local resource, contributing significantly to the overall health and well-being of the pet population in New Hampshire.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic specializes in providing essential vaccination services for pets, making it a convenient and focused option for pet owners in New Hampshire looking to ensure their animals are protected against common diseases. As a dedicated vaccination clinic, their service model is streamlined to deliver immunizations efficiently, complementing the broader care offered by full-service veterinary hospitals. While they do not provide a full range of veterinary services, their expertise lies squarely in prophylactic measures. Typically, a Vetco Vaccination Clinic would offer:
- Core Vaccinations for Dogs: These generally include distemper, parvovirus, adenovirus (hepatitis), and rabies. Rabies vaccinations are often legally mandated in many areas, including parts of New Hampshire, and Vetco provides both 1-year and 3-year options for eligible pets.
- Core Vaccinations for Cats: Common feline core vaccines typically protect against feline panleukopenia (distemper), feline viral rhinotracheitis, feline calicivirus, and rabies. Similar to dogs, both 1-year and 3-year rabies options may be available.
- Non-Core (Lifestyle) Vaccinations: Depending on the pet's lifestyle and risk exposure, they may also offer non-core vaccines such as Bordetella (kennel cough) for dogs who interact with other dogs frequently, Leptospirosis for dogs exposed to wildlife or contaminated water, and Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) for cats with potential outdoor exposure.
- Microchipping: A vital service for pet safety, microchipping provides permanent identification that significantly increases the chances of reuniting with a lost pet. This is often offered alongside vaccination services for convenience.
- Parasite Prevention Products: While not a full vet visit, some vaccination clinics may offer over-the-counter or prescription-based preventative medications for common parasites like fleas, ticks, and heartworm, upon consultation.
- Basic Wellness Checks (limited): During a vaccination visit, a brief physical assessment is usually performed to ensure the pet is healthy enough to receive vaccines. However, this is not as comprehensive as a full veterinary examination.
It's important for pet owners in New Hampshire to remember that Vetco Vaccination Clinic's primary role is immunization. For any other health concerns, injuries, illnesses, or comprehensive wellness exams, a traditional veterinary hospital is the appropriate resource. However, for focused and convenient vaccine administration, Vetco serves as an accessible local option.
Vetco Vaccination Clinic in Amherst, NH, possesses several features and highlights that define its service model and appeal to pet owners in New Hampshire seeking convenient immunization solutions. While feedback can sometimes point to areas for improvement, the core strengths of the clinic are evident:
- Convenience and Accessibility: Perhaps the most significant highlight is the clinic's focus on streamlined, accessible vaccination services. Located on a main route (Rte 101A), it offers an easy-to-reach option for pet owners who need to quickly update their pets' vaccinations without the potentially longer wait times or comprehensive appointments typical of a full-service veterinary hospital. This "walk-in" or appointment-light model is a major draw for busy individuals.
- Focus on Essential Preventative Care: By specializing in vaccinations, the clinic efficiently delivers a crucial component of pet wellness. This targeted approach means they are well-versed in immunization protocols and can administer vaccines effectively, directly addressing a primary need for pet health in New Hampshire.
- "Nice Vet Workers": A customer review specifically noted "Nice vet workers." This positive feedback indicates that the staff who interact directly with the pets and administer vaccines are friendly, approachable, and provide a pleasant experience for the animals. A calm and gentle approach during injections can significantly reduce a pet's stress and make future visits easier.
It's important to acknowledge that while the core service of vaccination is well-received, a customer review did highlight a challenge related to customer service regarding a vaccination record correction. This indicates that while the "vet workers" administering the vaccines are pleasant, there may be opportunities for improvement in administrative support and follow-up communication processes. However, for the primary service of getting vaccines administered by friendly personnel in a convenient setting, Vetco Vaccination Clinic remains a go-to option for many New Hampshire residents.

Vetco Vaccination Clinic Reviews
Nice vet workers
Aug 03, 2022 · pamela HI brought 4 dogs in for a 3 year rabies vaccine. All 4 were current and due at the same time, at the end of July 2025. 3 of the 4 were done correctly as a 3 year, the fourth was done as a one year. I did not realize it until I got home and looked at the receipt. I called the number provided, to find out how to get this corrected and changed to a 3 year. The woman on the phone had no idea what I was talking about, did not know how to direct me. She said someone would call me within 24 hours with an answer. No one has called, and I still dont know how to get it corrected. Im sure it was an oversight Im not upset with the vaccine clinic, but customer service is just awful.
