Designed to provide accessible and affordable preventative care, Vetco offers a streamlined solution for essential pet health needs. The clinic operates within the Petco store, providing a convenient and familiar setting for you and your pets. This article will serve as a comprehensive guide for local Arizona residents, highlighting the key services offered, its convenient location, and what you can expect from a visit. We'll explore why this type of clinic is a valuable resource for maintaining your pet's wellness routine without the hassle and expense of a full-service veterinary hospital.
The model of Vetco Vaccination Clinic is built around efficiency and accessibility. By focusing on a specific range of preventative services, they can offer low-cost options that help pet owners stay on top of their pet's health. For many Arizonans, especially those with multiple pets or limited budgets, this approach is a lifesaver. It ensures that critical vaccinations, which protect against serious and sometimes fatal diseases, are within reach. While Vetco is not a replacement for a full-service veterinarian for sick or injured pets, it serves a vital role in a pet’s overall wellness plan. The staff, including the veterinarians and vet techs, are focused on making the process as smooth and stress-free as possible. It’s a great way to handle routine care like rabies shots and heartworm tests, which are essential for every pet’s long-term health in our warm desert climate.
The Vetco Vaccination Clinic is located inside the Petco store at 2090 S Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85209, USA. This location is a significant benefit for local pet owners. Power Road is a major thoroughfare in Mesa, making the clinic easily reachable from various parts of the city and even from neighboring communities like Gilbert and Apache Junction. Its position within a well-known retail store adds to its accessibility, as it’s a place many people already frequent for pet supplies.
The convenience of this location is key. You can often combine a trip for vaccinations with your regular pet food or supply run. This saves time and makes it easier to keep your pet’s health on schedule. The clinic operates on a specific schedule within the store, often on certain days and during set hours. This format means that while walk-ins are often welcome, it's wise to check the schedule online to plan your visit and minimize wait times. For anyone searching for "pet vaccinations Mesa" or "low-cost vet Arizona," the clinic's presence on a main road and its connection to a major retailer make it a visible and practical option.
The services at Vetco Vaccination Clinic are focused on preventative care to keep your dog or cat healthy and safe. Their offerings are designed to be straightforward and essential, perfect for routine wellness needs.
- Vaccinations: They offer a wide variety of vaccinations for both dogs and cats, including core vaccines like rabies and distemper, as well as non-core vaccines based on your pet's lifestyle and risk factors.
- Microchipping: This simple procedure provides a permanent form of identification for your pet. A microchip can be the difference between a lost pet and a found pet, offering a crucial layer of security.
- Heartworm Testing and Prevention: For dogs, Vetco provides heartworm testing and offers preventative medications. Given Arizona's climate, year-round prevention is a key part of responsible pet ownership.
- Flea, Tick, and Other Parasite Prevention: They can assist with preventative medications for common parasites, which are a persistent threat to pets in our area.
- Other Wellness Screenings: The clinic may offer other preventative health screenings, such as blood work, to help detect potential issues early.
While the Vetco Vaccination Clinic focuses on a limited range of services, it has several highlights that make it a compelling choice for local pet owners in Arizona.
- Affordability: The primary feature is the low-cost model, which makes essential preventative care accessible to a broader audience. This is particularly helpful for families with multiple pets or those on a tight budget.
- Convenience and Accessibility: The clinic's location inside a Petco store means it's easy to get to, and the specific clinic hours make it easy to fit into a busy schedule. The fact that many services can be obtained without a prior appointment is a major plus for spontaneous needs.
- Dedicated and Caring Staff: Customers have praised the staff for being "amazing," "very helpful," and "informative." Reviews specifically mention the "great people" and their "compassion for taking care of my dog." This personal touch, even in a quick-service environment, is a highlight.
- Streamlined Process: The clinic's focus on vaccinations and basic testing allows for a more efficient process compared to a full-service veterinary office. While this can sometimes lead to wait times, the overall system is designed for speed and convenience.

Jun 20, 2025 · Jordan RathbunThe Doctor and techs were great people. The thing is that they had me waiting over an hour to receive my pets blood work when they said that it would be done in 15 minutes. Also, I still have not received my pets vaccination documents. It has been a week.
Jun 13, 2025 · Alex MurriettaIntake for my pet went quickly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The vet did a thorough external exam with the time he had and we were able to leave within just a few minutes.
Jul 05, 2025 · Stephen FerrellHORRIBLE customer service from Andy at the Vetco clinic ( which is just a corner spot of the store in the fish area) we went a month ago and got our four month old Puppies which we thought were their third set of Shots ended up being only their second set of shots because we had their 2nd set done at home from tractor supply. so Dr. Reese informed us we needed to come back a month later and get another set of shots along with the rabies shots and there will be no additional charge. This was written on the paperwork that we had when we came back. But Andy, who he says is the leader Of the vetco team is gonna have a word with Dr. Reese because we should’ve been charged $120. We also had an appt and had to wait over an hour the first time we came in. They take walk ins over scheduled appts.Andy should not be in charge of anything with customer service & because of the way we were treated by Andy at the vetco clinic on baseline & Power we are now cancelling our Vetco Vital care premium membership and going to Petsmart
May 20, 2025 · Jen WillsonMakes bs excuses about not being able to treat your dog. Will continue to pull company policy on people and refuse to help you. Also not a clinic but a pull up booth in the fish Aisles
