Veterinary Emergency Center Introduce
For pet owners across Ohio, the health and safety of our beloved animal companions are always a top priority. While regular check-ups with your primary veterinarian are essential, there are times when unexpected accidents or sudden illnesses strike, requiring immediate, specialized attention. This is where a dedicated emergency veterinary center becomes an invaluable resource. For residents in Maumee and the surrounding communities, the **Veterinary Emergency Center** stands as a crucial pillar of support, providing urgent and emergency care when your pet needs it most.
Emergency veterinary care is a specialized field focused on diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries that pose an immediate threat to a pet's life or long-term health. Unlike a regular vet clinic, an emergency center is equipped to handle critical situations at any hour, offering rapid assessment, advanced diagnostics, and often, immediate surgical or medical intervention. Having such a facility readily available ensures that pets in dire need receive prompt attention, which can make all the difference in their recovery and well-being. From sudden injuries to unexpected health crises, understanding where to turn in an emergency provides immense peace of mind for responsible pet parents in Ohio.
The Veterinary Emergency Center is strategically located at **115 Chesterfield Ln, Maumee, OH 43537, USA**. Maumee, a vibrant city in Lucas County, Ohio, is known for its accessibility and strong community ties, making it an ideal location for an emergency veterinary facility. Veterinary Emergency Center Reviews
Thank you to the staff for being so caring with my cat Valor last night. Thank you to the staff member(s) that sat with me and Valor until his last breath. Thank you to the staff member who help me do his paw print, and help me clip some of his fur and whiskers as keep sakes. Below I attached some pictures of Valor from when he was a kitten for the staff members who asked. I hope this reaches them ❤️
Jun 15, 2025 · Rachel McAuleyThis place was INCREDIBLE! At my cats primary care vet I was always told he needed to be sedated in order to be groomed. So when I called I informed them of this and they quoted me a price. So when I got off of work I headed straight to see them. While I was driving they called back and informed me they shorted the quote a bit, no big deal at all. I greatly appreciated the honesty. When I arrived they were very friendly, got me checked right in, and I had great conversation with some of the other guests while I waited. Alex came out, got my cat, and then not even 10 minutes later came back because she was done! She knew I was fully willing to pay a decent amount of money for sedation, but yet she tried without it first anyway and was able to groom him!! Alex is AMAZING! It blew my mind. Everyone there was so caring, honest and overall just absolutely incredible people. I would 100% make the drive from Findlay to Maumee again and again to have them care for my cat. Could not recommended this place, Alex and the whole staff any more if I tried!
May 25, 2025 · AdamJPOutstanding Service!! My 7yr old Great Dane was not acting right and was clearly in pain. They got him in right away. Dr. Cole was outstanding with my big boy. She took her time, read his signs and treated him with love and kindness. They provided treatment options and recommendations. Allowed us to make the best choice for our boy. We truly appreciate them!
Jun 18, 2025 · Jill GrantI was very happy with the care that was given to my dog today. I was so glad I had somewhere to take my sick pet for care on a Sunday morning. They didn’t push expensive tests on me. Their team did a great job! Thank you!I would highly recommend them. I would go back. You do need to bring cash, credit cards, or Care Credit as they do not take checks!
May 05, 2025 · Gae Ann LindI just moved to the area from out of state yesterday, which I even told the person on the phone. I've had dogs for my entire life, currently have 4. I know when something isn't right. I explained what's going on and she completely dismissed my concern and said that's not something they deal with. I pushed my concern again and once again dismissed. I said that I'm really concerned if this is what I'm going to have to deal with with having 4 dogs and 9 cats if I have an emergency. She hung up on me. She hung up on me!!! My mind is blown this is so upsetting. Even IF it ended up not being an emergency, I cannot believe a 24hr emergency vet would turn away someone without even seeing them first. If I knew who the persons name was that I spoke with, I'd have included it with my review. Just awful.**I want to add to my original review now that you've responded to my review. My dog was seen by a different vet three later and had to be euthanized. The symptoms I was describing to your staff on the phone was actually some kind of internal rupture, fluid in the lungs and an infection. I knew something wasn't right. I explained this to your staff! The end result likely wouldn't have changed whether he was seen by your practice two days sooner, but it's infuriating and heartbreaking that my dog had to suffer two days longer because my concerns weren't taken seriously and were completely dismissed by your staff. If I ever face another emergency, I will absolutely NOT be considering your practice.
