Veterinary Emergency Group Introduce
For pet owners in California, the thought of a pet emergency can be a source of immense stress and anxiety. When a beloved companion is in distress, having a reliable and compassionate emergency veterinary service is not just a convenience, it's a necessity. In the Santa Clarita Valley, the opening of Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) has filled a vital need, providing a 24/7 animal hospital dedicated exclusively to urgent and emergency care. Unlike traditional vet clinics, VEG is designed from the ground up to handle crises with speed, expertise, and a truly unique approach that prioritizes the comfort of both the pet and their owner. They believe that you are a crucial part of your pet's care team, and their model reflects this by allowing you to stay by your pet's side throughout the entire process.
The core concept behind VEG is revolutionary. They understand that in a moment of crisis, being separated from your pet can be terrifying. This is why they have created a welcoming and supportive environment where you can be present with your pet from the moment you arrive. A client who was one of the first to use the new facility described their experience of spending 24 hours there, staying by their reactive dog's side in a private room. The client felt that this level of comfort was "so ideal and worth it," highlighting the peace of mind that comes with this hands-on model. The staff's attentiveness and support extended not only to the pet but also to the owner, providing bedding for the couch, snacks, and drinks to ensure they were also taken care of. This holistic approach to emergency care is what makes VEG a truly special place.
The facility itself is a testament to their commitment to excellence. As one reviewer noted, the hospital is "truly impressive—clean, modern, and equipped with advanced technology." This state-of-the-art environment allows their team, including skilled professionals like Dr. Kyle, to provide the best possible medical care for a wide range of emergency situations. From diagnosing old dog vestibular symptoms to handling other unexpected health scares, the team is equipped to provide high-quality, professional, and transparent care. Their approach to care is a breath of fresh air for pet owners, who are often kept in the dark during traditional emergency vet visits. At VEG, communication is a priority, and they ensure that pet parents feel "seen, supported, and safe" throughout a stressful experience.
The team at VEG is praised for their professionalism and compassion, which are essential qualities in emergency veterinary medicine. The review from the owner of Shadow, who had a scary episode, highlighted how the staff's calm and comforting energy made a stressful situation manageable. The entire team is known for their ability to bring a sense of stability and reassurance when it is needed most. They are not just treating an animal; they are caring for a cherished family member and supporting the people who love them. This level of empathy and dedication is a powerful reason why pet owners in the Santa Clarita Valley can confidently rely on VEG in a crisis.
Ultimately, VEG is more than just an emergency animal hospital; it's a vital community resource. Its 24/7 availability and unique stay-with-your-pet concept fill a critical gap in local veterinary services. It is the kind of place you hope you never have to visit, but are immensely grateful for if you do. The heartfelt thanks from clients, like the one who wrote, "Everyone took such great care of us both," perfectly encapsulates the gratitude and trust that VEG has already earned in its short time in the community. Their dedication to transparent, compassionate, and expert care sets a new standard for emergency veterinary medicine in California.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We (unfortunately) were the first patients to the new VEG - but I'm so glad it was available at that moment and so glad we went there! We spent about 24 hours there, and I got to stay by my dogs side the entire time. He's quite reactive, but they were very accommodating - and having a private room where I also got to stay with him was the absolute best way to go! The comfort for us both was so ideal and worth it.I was, of course, unprepared for an emergency visit and an overnight stay, but everyone was very attentive and supportive to both what my dog needed, but also what I needed. They have bedding for the couch beds, snacks and drinks, and will really make sure you're also taken care of - to help keep your baby cared for, too.Everyone there both days and overnight who helped us - thank you all so so much for everything. Everyone took such great care of us both, and we're so grateful. While I hope we dont have to see any of you there again - you're all amazing, and we thank you for all your help. Toby and I are very appreciative and felt very supported.I'm so glad somewhere with this concept of being able to stay with your pet exists, and I'm so glad Santa Clarita now has a 24/7 facility like this. That was very needed here. If you're in an urgent situation with your pet - go to VEG!
July 11 · Jess JamesA Heartfelt Thank You to VEG – Santa Clarita’s Newest Emergency Vet HospitalLast night, we had the chance to visit Santa Clarita’s much-needed and newly opened Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) — and what a blessing it is to have them in our community! The hospital just opened its doors three weeks ago, and already it’s making a big difference for local pet families. We brought in our sweet Shadow after a scary episode with old dog Vestibular symptoms. It’s never easy watching your pet go through something like that — but Dr. Kyle and the entire VEG team handled everything with professionalism, compassion, and state-of-the-art care. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel seen, supported, and safe. The facility is truly impressive — clean, modern, and equipped with advanced technology. But even more remarkable is the calm, comforting energy they bring to stressful situations. Their approach is transparent and hands-on, allowing pet parents to stay with their animals throughout the entire process. If you’re a pet owner in the Santa Clarita Valley, add VEG to your emergency contacts now. You never know when you’ll need them — but you’ll be so glad they’re there.📍 VEG – Veterinary Emergency GroupSanta Clarita, CA(Recently opened – 3 weeks ago!)Thank you, Dr. Kyle and team, for being there for Shadow — and for all of us.
July 31 · Victoria SzuchSo relieved to have a veterinary ER/hospital that is actually open 24/7. Staff was compassionate, competent, and helpful. The doctor (Dr. Dowling) was extremely thorough, did a comprehensive workup, and provided excellent explanations and documentation. The vet techs did an amazing job with EKG, blood pressure, and blood draws. My rather large dog was calm the entire time. The policy of keeping dog and owner together through all the procedures was most welcome. Unlike other places, my dog was not at all traumatized. Some people complained about cost, but emergency care is always expensive. I feel that I got very good value and my dog got excellent care…well worth the money. In addition, I was referred here by my vet, whom I trust completely. He had previously referred me elsewhere when unable to get us in; once this place opened, he made an immediate change, and I’m so glad he did! Can’t say enough good things about VEG!
August 10 · Linda SchmidtMy Max had an emergency and my vet was closed Wednesdays. I can’t express how above and beyond everyone that works here made me feel. It is open concept which is so amazing when it comes to teamwork. It just works so much better! The bonus was that I was able to stay with my pet during his procedure which made it so much better for my cat. The medical director and Dr Harris first saw my Max and everyone jumped in to help. After removing half a liter of fluid from his chest area they put him in an oxygen chamber to help him. I was able to sit by him and the staff offered me tissues and snacks. One staff member came and asked if I needed a hug and I said I really did. It helps so much when all the staff are so empathetic. 🥹🥹 I felt so beyond comfortable the whole time. They explained the plan and always kept me informed. Dr. Abedi worked days the following days he was there. She would call and always talked to me when I would show up to visit. I was so distraught and I wish I remembered everyone’s name to thank them individually. I remember Mia and I think her name was Bianca, black hair green streaks. 5 different techs were the ones I dealt with. They were so caring. Also, the nighttime staff and Dr. made me feel so comfortable going home to sleep. I was able to laugh and thank them, and felt at peace going home knowing Max would get the best care.I’m so happy we finally have an EXCEPTIONAL 24 hour ER here. Every 24 hour place should be this open concept and letting their owners be involved in care if they chose. I’m crying writing this review. Thank you, everyone from the bottom of my heart.
July 18 · Witchy PooTLDR - I would hands down come here again with my dog or my mom's dog.My mom's dog got hurt at the dog park (her dew claw got seriously cracked after getting snagged). I went to her regular vet who was unable to see her but recommended that I go to VEG (veterinary emergency group). The second I walked in the door I knew I came to the right place. The layout is very open and the young lady at the front desk was very calm and friendly. They quickly assessed her, Dr. Chavez knew exactly what to do and gave me options. I was given time to think as well as an estimate. Once I talked with my mom we went forward with treatment. The team was very competent and caring.Kenzie is on the mend and I am greatful I was told about them.
