Located in West Union, this clinic has earned a stellar reputation for providing a comprehensive range of veterinary services with a personal touch that makes all the difference. The clinic's philosophy is rooted in the belief that pets are more than just animals; they are beloved family members who deserve the highest level of care, respect, and empathy. The team at Walhalla Veterinary Clinic is committed to a patient-first approach, ensuring that every animal, whether they are in for a routine check-up or a complex emergency, feels safe and comfortable. This dedication to both the animal's physical health and their emotional well-being is a cornerstone of their practice and the reason so many local pet owners trust them implicitly with their furry companions.
The trust and loyalty of the community are built on the clinic's consistent delivery of professional, affordable, and compassionate care. As one deeply moving customer review attests, Dr. Stroud and his staff handled a heart-wrenching situation with extraordinary empathy and professionalism, providing comfort and clarity during a difficult time. This kind of genuine care, focused on the animal and their family, is what sets them apart. Another review highlights their ethical approach to treatment, offering effective and less costly alternatives for emergency situations, such as a copperhead bite, instead of defaulting to expensive and potentially unnecessary procedures like antivenom. This commitment to being honest and practical with treatment plans not only makes care more accessible but also builds an incredible amount of trust with clients. The clinic is equipped to handle a wide variety of services, from preventative healthcare and routine exams to complex surgical procedures, all while maintaining a warm and welcoming environment. The team's ability to combine medical expertise with a compassionate bedside manner is what makes them a go-to choice for South Carolina pet owners who truly care about the well-being of their animals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr Stroud and the staff took very good care of me! I was a walk-in and waited to be seen by Dr Stroud because my mom talked highly of him. We went somewhere else to have our German Shepherd foreign object surgery done, and they messed him up BADLY!. Took him in to see what Stroud thought we needed to do. We ended up having to put our German Shepherd down due to poorly neglect from FoxNest( Golden Corner) in Seneca! Dr. Stroud and the staff made me feel very comfortable and at ease when my baby ran across the rainbow bridge! I highly recommend this place. They truly care about you but mostly your animals.! I am switching my other German Shepherd to them! R.I.P Gunner we love you so much!!
June 27 · Heather DrexlerI brought my dog who had been bitten by a copperhead and they were excellent in getting us a room quickly, diagnosing and providing medication. Other emergency vets would have forced the antivenom and thousands of dollars of treatment, I was able to get her taken care of for less than 300.
September 26 · Nathan PYesterday, we were walk ins for our sweet little pup. This is our regular veterinary clinic, but they had no open appointment times and we needed help. They were upfront about the unknown wait time. While we were there we knew a few families were saying goodbye to their pets, they have a candle on the desk that is on when that’s happening, and the staff was so kind and loving to the families. It was special and I’m thankful I witnessed it.When Dr Smith came in, he was caring to listen to our issue and then fast to get to work figuring out the best plan for us. The staff was caring to our little pup and was kind to us, knowing that we were stressed and tired from the day.Walk In hours begin at 2pm, which is so smart to not make other patients wait for their scheduled appointment times and respectful to the walk ins time, in my opinion.Great Work Walhalla Veterinary Clinic
June 18 · Melissa DunbarThey have been terrific. Just left my vet of 15 years and trying to find what my vet used to have but lost along the way. Tried one other and was so displeased I thought maybe it was the signs of the times. But I am happy to say the care and caring attitude of the employees and Dr have not disappointed. They proved me wrong caring is a quality in people out there. Thanks a bunch! High Paws for your team! Smokey Bear, Peaches, and Ginger
September 25 · Crystal BowersSaw Dr. Smith. He is new to the practice. Seems really nice. He watched my dog carefully and did everything he could to ease her stress. And answered all my questions. The rest of the staff is polite
