Feb 12, 2025 · Kathleen PangonisI love this office! I can usually get a same-day appointment (as an established customer, go ahead and get your animals in their system ASAP!), which is the BEST when you have a sick animal. They have a wonderful small-town friendly feel and Dr. Herlong is so helpful and compassionate, you don't feel rushed at all.
Apr 17, 2025 · Blythe WallaceBlues has been seen and cared for here since he was 10 weeks! The vets here are super caring and so sweet, patient and gentle with him! It doesn’t cost much to tend to his needs either ! He’s usually nervous at first but calmed down in their hands! He was seen today and still came out a happy puppy. Also I would like to note they are sanitary and clean here which is important for us! I am 8 weeks pregnant and my nose is so sensitive but the clean atmosphere and little to no scent in the office didn’t bother me at all! Take pride in what you do and the animals you save . Because you all are amazing at it . Gifted hands . God bless
Apr 04, 2024 · Brenae BYes this review is 100% to the correct facility we have been going here for over a year Wateree Animal Hospital Elgin!I can NOT recommend this place. I've been going here about a year and my dog has had an issue of tearing up his skin in random places. I've spent HUNDREDS taking him here trying to figure out why it is happening. Yet every time we go the Dr just wants to blame it on fleas 😡 WHICH HE NEVER HAS!! He has never had a single sign of fleas, he is professionally groomed, and on Brovecto. Yet after wanting to charge me hundreds she just blames it on fleas nd wants to throw UNNECESSARY antibiotics at him. She REFUSED to do a skin scrape (which is insane to me!) And wanted to put him on a $200 a month allergy pill without even trying to figure out what the actual cause was and no infection present. This poor dog has been suffering since christmas with ne relief thanks to these people! Finally I took him to ZEN PETS IN COLUMBIA, and within 20mins (after doing the f ing skin scrape I asked these people to do!!!!) They were able to find the problem... HE HAD A YEAST INFECTION!!! A very treatable yeast that had now spread to several spot on his body and ears. I am so mad at Wateree and disgusted in their lack of care. All they want is your money, which by the way they are way over priced! They don't care about your animal or actually fixing the problem. They want to keep them sick so they will keep coming back.
Mar 13, 2025 · NikkiI cannot thank Wateree Animal Hospital enough for the kindness and compassion they showed during one of my hardest moments. I was seen right away – but, unfortunately had to say goodbye to my Jasper. Dr. Herlong and Technician Kaylee went above and beyond. I was fully informed and knew each step that was taken along the way. They didn’t just see Jasper as another case – they truly cared. Their dedication and empathy meant the world to me. If you are looking for a place that genuinely loves and fights for their patients, this is the place. I will forever be grateful.Thank you again Dr. Herlong and Kaylee.
