Webster Groves Animal Hospital is located on a major thoroughfare in St. Louis County, offering convenient access for pet owners throughout the region. The central location in Webster Groves is a distinct advantage, especially when timely care for a **Sick Pet** or an **Urgent Care Visit** is required.
**Address:** 8028 Big Bend Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63119, USA
The clinic provides necessary accommodations to ensure the facility is accessible and comfortable for all Missouri clients:
- **Wheelchair Accessible Entrance:** Ensures smooth entry and exit for everyone.
- **Wheelchair Accessible Parking Lot:** Dedicated parking spaces simplify the process of bringing pets into the hospital.
- **Wheelchair Accessible Restroom:** Provides necessary facilities for all visitors.
For streamlined service delivery, the clinic advises proactive planning:

- **Restroom:** Available amenity for client comfort during their wait.
The scope of services offered at Webster Groves Animal Hospital is exceptionally broad, covering nearly every aspect of **Veterinary Medicine** required for companion animals in Missouri. The breadth of these services, combined with multiple AAHA accreditations (including one for **Internal Medicine Specialty**), demonstrates a facility committed to high-level, specialized pet health services in the Missouri market.
Several key features make Webster Groves Animal Hospital a leading choice for pet care in the St. Louis area:
- **AAHA Accreditation (Multiple Accreditations):** Being accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association signifies a commitment to high standards in veterinary medicine, going beyond typical state requirements. The hospital holds multiple accreditations, including specialty ones, affirming its advanced capabilities.
- **Extensive Hours and 24/7 Nursing:** The main facility is open from 7 AM to 11 PM daily, often with nursing staff on-site 24 hours a day for hospitalized animals. This extended availability is a critical feature for Missouri clients needing care outside of standard business hours.
- **Large, Multi-Doctor Team:** Operating with a team of 20 or more veterinarians, including specialized expertise like that of Dr. Todd Thomas (a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners), ensures coverage and a wide range of skills are available to patients.
- **Separate Wellness Center:** The existence of a separate **Wellness Center** for routine and vaccination appointments provides a quieter, less stressful environment for general check-ups, enhancing the client experience.
- **Advanced Equipment:** The utilization of **Digital Radiology**, **Ultrasound**, **Endoscopy**, and a fully-equipped **In-House Laboratory** allows for swift, accurate diagnoses without extensive external referrals.
- **Transparent Treatment Options:** The availability of treatment financing solutions like CareCredit and Scratchpay helps Missouri pet owners manage the costs associated with complex **Specialized Care** or emergencies.
**Note on Care Experience:** While the hospital offers an impressive scope of services and infrastructure, the experience can vary. Some clients have reported a feeling of rushed or incomplete investigation, particularly in complex medical cases like persistent vomiting, which resulted in the owner seeking second opinions elsewhere. Clients are encouraged to actively communicate their concerns and ensure they understand the full diagnostic plan, which should ideally leverage the hospital's many advanced capabilities like **Blood Panels** and specialized imaging when symptoms are concerning.

Webster Groves Animal Hospital: Thomas Todd DVM Reviews
- I recently took my cat to this facility because she had been vomiting for a while, and I was quite worried about her health. While the staff was friendly and the facilities seemed clean, I was disappointed with the level of care we received. After an x-ray, they informed me that nothing was found and essentially dismissed my concerns. Unfortunately, my cat's condition did not improve, and I felt like more could have been done to investigate the cause of her symptoms.I ended up taking her to Banfield Pet Hospital, where they were thorough in diagnosing and treating her. She is now healthy and back to her normal self.I understand that not every case is straightforward, but I believe a bit more diligence could have led to a better outcome at Wester Groves Animal Hospital. I hope they can improve in this area so that future pet owners feel more confident in the care their pets receive. September 04 · Ahmet Baltaci

- I would highly recommend Webster Groves. I have been going to them for over a decade now, with multiple pets. They care, that's what makes the difference for me. Oh and they work to get you in as quickly as possible, especially when urgent care is needed. March 25 · Lisa

- My best friend passed Rook away unexpectedly.I live an hour away and no one would see my dog for his hurt leg but them. So I drove him there and they unfortunately uncovered some underlying health issues that I didn’t know were present. They did everything they could to save my dog.He had cancer and I had no idea. We were just playing the nights before and then all of a sudden he was not feeling well. I had no idea that it would be the last time I would hold my dog and kiss him and love him. I thought he was just older and forgotten to not play so hard.I have never felt so much compassion and love from a place I have never been. Rook was an amazing sweet boy and they loved him while he was there. Which Gives me so much comfort knowing the staff treated him so well and loved on him in his last moments.I recommend them 100%, everyone is amazing, and even after my dog had passed they still listened to me grieve and really just made this trauma so much easier for me.I really can’t thank them enough for the love they gave Rook and I, it is priceless. The drive was so worth it and if I had to do it all over again I would still go there.Genuine people& the best vet experience I have ever had despite the outcome.
