I highly recommend Dr. Melonie Bell and Nurse Chris. I showed up the morning after my dog had a copperhead bite her. I thought she was exhausted from chasing a groundhog the previous evening. They found she had a run-in with a snake, and I have Copperheads on my acre and half of property, so I finally knew the culprit of my dog's exhaustion. They located and cleaned up the wound. I wanted to die. They assured me my dog may or may not make it. I told them I'm financially unable to take on a $2K-$?? bill. They were calming and gave me all my best options. With love and stealth, they cleaned Yum and administered life-saving service. The best part is Ms. Mary called the next morning and asked me to bring Yum back. "We want to see her.."Wait for it, Yum had lost half a pound, and I could see the concern in the doctor's face. She stated it was a lot for Yum. I felt it, too. They loaned Yum the cutest coat to prevent her from scratching the wound open. It diverted her black swollen neck and chest. By this time, my dog was walking and even signifying again. I told them Yum was their miracle dog.I didn't have enough money to buy the coat, but the generosity and caring of the Dr. Melonie and Chris team again saved Yum. As the place healed, Yum would scrub herself against anything and attempt to dig and scratch. She would have opened that wound and it would surely have gotten infected. I thank God for White Oak Animal Hospital. Other places turned us down. Several stated they couldn't make space for her and recommended far away places. This office, however, said to bring her and we'll work her in. Immediately, Nurse Chris came out and looked at her. It was an awesome experience, and I'd highly recommend everyone to take their fur-babies to this loving and caring, highly communicative, and professional outfit.Oh, and I got a military discount.Thank God for these people! - Karen Tid
