Dr. Wilson Thomas M DVM operates out of Rome, GA 30165, USA. As a veterinarian specializing in large animals, it is important to note that a fixed physical address may be less significant than for a small animal clinic. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Doctor Wilson seemed annoyed when I called him about my horse that had developed a deep & constant cough. I had just moved to GA that month, and was looking forward to finding a new vet. I called Countryside first, after seeing Dr Wilson was familiar with Kansas; I was hoping he would have some tips on how to adjust from that climate to this one. Instead, he cut me off mid sentence and said “it was his busy season and he didn’t have time to schedule a new client.” This is understandable. When I asked him if he knew who else I might try calling (I was afraid something was stuck in my mares throat- it almost looked like a mild case of choke to me, & I needed help) his response was “I have no idea what the other vets schedules look like.” So that was that. Fast forward two months, and this Dr. Wilson shows up at my new barn job after a colt was born and the regular vet was out on another call. There, he was seemingly friendly and had plenty of time to chit chat and mingle that day. I felt Dr Wilson was so abrasive to me the first time I called him, than I didn’t enjoy seeing him show up at my work. You can’t be rude to “prospective new clients” and then expect them to be excited to see you when you show up as the replacement vet.
February 23 · Stacie HahnCountryside Equine has been my choice for vets for more than 2 decades! I can’t say enough positive things about them. Tom Wilson and Natasha Amari are professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly, caring. They’ve been out for calls to my farm at all hours. When the tornado of 2013 hit our area, they were calling me to see if we needed help. They weren’t calling from the comfort of their homes either. No, they were already next door helping our neighbor. I’ve had some challenging issues with my horses over the years, and every time I’ve been able to count on them. My horses are healthy and happy because of them, and I’m a better horse owner. They are the best!
