Petco Reviews
Honestly pretty gross experience. We took our 2.5 year old to see some of the fish and of course the tank on her eye level is the .49 fish that are literally decaying and rotting away. I get that these fish are inexpensive and might not be on the radar to clean the tank regularly, but at least once they decompose - clean it out. The alive fish were literally eating the dead fish to the skeletons. And there were clusters of dead fish at the surface. I didn’t even notice until my child pointed it out. Morbid experience.
Jun 23, 2025 · Alissa RadcliffThis review is only for the grooming department, the rest of the store and staff are friendly.I scheduled my large dog a grooming cut and shampoo five weeks out, right before my month long trip. We wanted our dog's hair cut so she is more comfortable while we're away as we know how hot Fresno summers can be.We arrived on time for our appointment and waited about ten minutes to be checked in. Frankie went to the back when the staff began with their usual upsell pitch, which historically they are bothered by if you don't go along with. I explained my primary concern is getting her hair cut as short as they're comfortable with cutting when they said they won't be doing a cut. I asked for clarification when they said the appointment is only for a shampoo, yet as you you can see from my confirmation, I booked a cut. She explained they don't have a large dog groomer in so that's why they can't. I was shocked after driving across town, 25 minutes out of my way after waiting five weeks for this appointment. I decided we didn't need the shampoo and left.So why couldn't you call me ahead of time and inform me you didn't have a groomer available? Why'd you waste my time and gas to come all the way over for nothing? Also offer nothing but a sad, "sorry".It's surprising to deal with such horrible service especially considering how much money I spend at Petco. Not to mention I have their membership.Skip this grooming center, they ain't it. It's my last time ever trying to get any services from them.
Jun 20, 2025 · jeremy brownsteinTook both of my grandmas pups (one senior and one chunky monkey who is around 6) to get groomed today for a bath and shape up to michelle who spoiled them rotten. I’m an stylist myself from another location of petco from socal and came up north to help my grandma with errands and to help get her pups all cleaned in the meantime, let me tell you our pups used to go to a private salon where they were always scared to go inside but when they come here to now and they have left happy with their tails wagging every single time. Our pups don’t always want to go into the groomers to get their toe beans touched but i’m just so happy with how they look and how they react every time we come to pick them up. Their nails are done, ears are cleaned, paws are shaved and teeth noticeably brushed. My grandma has no complaints to add to our review so take that as you please! My grandma only says that she has complete confidence in our groomer and wanted to say that she can tell that michelle has a love of animals and treats ours like her own. If you want someone to take care of your furry baby and know they are safe and cared for bring them to michelle. I trust her with them and don’t have a single worry when I bring our pups in.
Jan 21, 2025 · bb gorlWhy is it every time i go there’s never crickets or I literally have to walk around the entire store twice just to find someone to help me. There’s several times I can basically walk out with product if I wanted to and no one would know especially at night. I also went tonight and it says they close at 9pm and the doors were locked and lights off at it was 8:40?? 20 minutes is 20 minutes
Apr 18, 2025 · MasonSnakes are infested with mites. I know first hand, because I bought a ball python from there that had mites. I should have known better than to purchase an animal from a chain store. I didn't notice them right away (they can be very small) but a few days later they were all over it. I went in yesterday to get a couple frozen feeders and was looking at one of their "fancy" balls. Poor thing was covered in large mites (they are red). I let an employee know that their snakes were infested and she tells me that "Yes, they have spots that look like mites, but they are not mites." Shouldn't tell people that actually know what they are talking about a line like that. Seems like she was told to tell that to whomever brought it up. Take care of your animals Petco.
