Tiny Aquatics Reviews
This is a really nice store. I've been a few times with a friend, who has many aquariums. The fish and tanks seem well maintained and cared for. Service has always been great and everyone seems really friendly.
Apr 12, 2025 · Carina JahnTiny Aquatics is our favorite aquarium store we’ve been to in Austin. The tanks were immaculate. Almost every single one was clean, clear, and clearly well cared for. Not just the livestock tanks but the display tanks too, which were seriously impressive. You can tell they take pride in how things look and in the health of the animals. One thing that stood out was the quarantined tanks. It was great to see they actually mark tanks and won’t sell from them if something’s off. A lot of stores don’t bother, so that made a big impression. The only issue we noticed was a bit of planaria in one of the shrimp tanks that wasn’t quarantined, but we just avoided getting anything from that one.As for the staff, I saw some reviews saying they seemed rude or had an attitude, but that wasn’t our experience at all. They actually came by to ask if we needed help, and when we had questions, they were genuinely helpful and clearly knew their stuff. I think people just misread them. They kind of have that face where you might assume you’re bothering them, but you’re not. They’re just fish guys, sometimes a little socially offbeat in the best way. Once you talk to them, you realize they’re just into what they do, and they’re so happy to help if you’re not being weird about it.Great store overall, clean, solid selection, and good energy. Highly recommend if you care about tank quality and animal health.

Mar 16, 2025 · Brooke SpencerWhat a wonderful experience. Everyone was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Huge thank you to Sean who took the time to help me with all my needs for getting my first freshwater tank set up. They even sold me some used substrate to help jumpstart my tank with beneficial bacteria. What a wonderful store!
Jun 07, 2025 · Adam SchwalbeJohn F is one of the most delightful, funny, technically brilliant humans on the planet. He has a big heart for the staff and he is very supportive of the customers. I go out of my way to go there because of the spirit and caliber of this team. The store and livestock are excellent as a result. You can tell there is a lot of TLC given to the fish and plants who depend on them.
