Feb 27, 2025 · Mishell DavisHonestly not sure what to think of this store. We went in prior to being ready to make our purchase as we were referred by several people to check them out. The first time we were in there was a lady behind the front counter that greeted us right away and told us to ask for any questions, very pleasant. We walked around and looked at their selection of fish and tanks and accessories for quite a while. They had several of the fish I was looking for and I was pleased with the condition of the tanks and appearance of their fish. As we were leaving the lady again thanked us for coming in and made some small talk etc. We told her we'd be back to make our purchase, she again was very pleasant. We then came back to make our purchase about a week later. The lady was again at the front counter and greeted us. They were significantly busier this time, it think about 6 other customers in the store compared to none the first time we were in. This was no problem for us, a male employee with reddish hair told us to let him know if we needed anything. We looked around again and we let him know we were ready, he advised he was helping some of the others and he'd be with us shortly, no problem we told him to come find us when he was ready. 15 minutes later he came to help us and I told him what I was interested in. Instead of a friendly response I was met with all kinds of questions regarding my tank these fish were going in. I advised I'm experienced with fish keeping and that the tank would be just fine for the two fish I was looking for. He again pressed with more questions and asked for a water sample. I was perplexed as the fish I was interested in were common fish, about $7 each and not exotic or hard to care for at all. I then told him I didn't have a water sample with me and that I didn't know I needed one to make the purchase. He was not very apologetic nor did he seem to care about losing a sale to a brand new customer, he wanted the water sample.... We thanked him and walked out the door. I was again very impressed with the fish but I won't be recommending to anyone and I will not be back based on the interaction with the red haired male employee.
