Great Lakes Reptiles Reviews
From the last time I was in this place a few years ago to now, it not only looks way better, but the workers are super friendly, very knowledgeable about what they have. This is the first time I went and seen the animals actually being cared for! I cannot thank you guys enough for being back the good in the reptile community!! The animals they have were also very cool! A few rare ones and some that you never really get to see as an adult! Go check them out!
May 14, 2025 · Aelisha LockardVisited here for the first time on the 16th. The selection of tanks was exactly what I had been searching for and had failed to find at the other local exotic pet shops (I was looking for a nonstandard tank size so it could fit on a specific table of mine). The animals were gorgeous! They looked healthy and their terrariums were clean + very thoroughly decorated. The guy working there (The fella who is deaf in one ear) was friendly and easy to talk with. I have some social anxiety, so the good vibes were much appreciated. He was also super generous! Gave me the calcium I was going to purchase for free on top of giving me a few bucks off of another item I was buying. Phenomenal selection of feeders for extremely reasonable prices, as well. This is going to be my go to reptile supply shop. I have recommended it to friends & I recommend it to whoever is reading this review. Attached are some pics that I took of some of the reptiles available for purchase.
Jul 29, 2024 · Morgan GStore smelled badly. Service was fine. Purchased a chameleon and had to sign a waver about no return and no guarantees. Well the chameleon was ill and died within 4 days of purchase. Had chameleons before so we knew how to care for it. Store should never had sold it. Will nevrr return there nor recommend.
Jul 02, 2025 · Rosemary CieszynskiThe store STINKS! I’ve been to other reptile stores and they do not smell like that. They give bad advice! Bearded dragons do no eat fish and it’s very bad for them but yet I was told to give them dead river fish. She said this is a new product that they’re trying to sell. She also said their bearded dragons love it.The Marty made vivariums are too expensive, go directly to the manufacturer! Marty makes them custom to what you need and for a great price. Check it out on Google or Facebook.I only go to this store for emergency feeders for when I run out and need more fast. I regret even doing that! Even their feeders don’t look good. I’d rather go to Lou’s pet shop in Grosse Point!
May 26, 2025 · Shelley HeronemusI can't believe the health department has not came in there and shut you down! Very very strong odor where I had to leave. When you are waiting on a customer acknowledge the other customer that comes in because we were coming in to spend at least $500. At least acknowledge the people that walk through your establishment.
