Affectionately Cats Reviews
Absolutely the best experience we've had with vet care. Every staff member is truly invested in the health, safety, and comfort of our cats, which has been proven again and again. The passion and dedication in attending to the unique needs of cats is exceptional, and our recent experiences with Dr. Coombs have been outstanding. I would never go anywhere else.
Jan 06, 2023 · Kylie HalpinI have been going to Affectionately Cats for 18 years and I would never go anywhere else. They're thorough and compassionate, and they genuinely love cats. Every Wednesday they spend the whole day just doing low-cost spaying and neutering for cats in the community (although they still see patients if it's urgent). If they were a "money grubbing scam" like a couple reviewers have claimed, why would they spend one whole day a week doing this charitable work? We have two cats rights now, both rescue cats, and they treat them like royalty. We are far from rich, even struggling to get by sometimes, and I think their prices are very fair - especially considering the level of care we receive.
Sep 23, 2018 · Molly HodgdonSo glad to find a caring local vet to care for my anxious kitty! Even with covid precautions (curbside drop off/pickup) the entire team made us feel cared for. Clear communications and clearly everyone loves cats! My sweetie is home and snuggled up in my arms. Thank you to Dr. Miner for being so kind and compassionate. (Photos to show the team what she’s like when she’s calmer!)
Oct 05, 2020 · Emily PogozelskiDO NOT RECCOMEND, THEY IGNORE YOUR WISHES AND INFORMATION !! Read full story below. So, When once I raved about this vet i now have to report a very poor experience and that i do NOT recommend this vet office anymore. Our cat Hobbes loved this vet when we first started coming a couple years ago.His first 3 visits with the vet they had him with were sublime, Hobbes got the patience he needed, the time to actually meet his vet instead of being pushed directly into his appointment. The vet listened, fully to each concern and question as we proceeded through cat care.during this time the vet learned our cat, and understood how horrible pill medicine orally was for Hobbes, and they always offered options.Once we started bring Calvin, our experience changed sharply.the vet was not the original vet Hobbes loved. It was now an older vet, with a "assembly line speed record" approach and Hobbes, who hates NOONE, HATED her.She never read his chart, she consistently ignored his inability to swallow pills and NEVER offered us an edible flavored option unless we basically had a fit.She gave little concern to my words, questions, and offered only answers to exactly what I had asked, no additional info or help was offered.Fast forward to our newest cat, Bagheera. We got this little gem from Franklin county animal rescue. He is a short nose black kitty. We brought him in for his first visit, along with Hobbes who had lost his voice 7 days after Bagheeras arriving. (this means respiratory issues being spread to the other cats from the new cat.During that first visit for Bagheera, we also brought Hobbes who had, as i said lost his voice 7 days after Bagheera arriving, FROM A RESCUE.The vet failed to read the chart, ignored our 3 times stating he was a new cat to us, and only at the very end of the visit did the vet tech, not the vet, finally hear us and say, "hey, the cat is new to them, is that relevant?" to this deaf vet handling our cats.when I brought these concerns to the management their response was to say "we will note it on his account" no apology then an email stating that Affectionately cats was dropping us as clients.Fabulous. You were going to let our cats go home with respiratory symptoms and the need for further medications because YOU want to go fast and move on to the next cat.Thanks. Both cats still need blood work, both cats still exhibit symptoms., and on both accounts Affectionately cats is silent. She was rough, abrupt, and seemed to have zero interest in what I was saying.I'm sad, this vet was our and Hobbes favorite. He trusted them, and so did we.But the gradual change from care to profit has be not trusting them. Added to that both times I had a concern it is not even addressed, they just roll their eyes and "note our account"THAT'S RIGHT, WE HAD 2 COMPLAINTS, and they dumped us.After 3 years. Huh, sounds like this vet has investments in the business. It's like they are narcissist's that "KNOW" they are right and only mark it down as strike against pet owners who need extra time.Unfair. Dishonest. Too fast. Not trust worthy. Please, Affectionately cats, go back to the patient vets you once were, I'll gladly bring Hobbes and Calvin back. But they require patience, patience your vets will not offer, because it cuts into your schedule.#healthcarereform
Feb 04, 2025 · Michael WilsonMore like affectionately want your money, I've never had a worse vet and I've never seen someone make sure you have to make deposits just to steal your money. They lied to us, their flea treatment didn't work, and then forced us to pay for a visit we were 10 minutes late for. Literally simple google searches are better cat advice than what they told us. STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM THESE FRAUDS!
