This center aims to provide the foundational care necessary to keep the beloved animal companions of California residents healthy and happy.
Angeles Vista Pet Medical Center has served the Los Angeles community with a commitment to individual pet needs. At the core of their practice is Dr. Hardy, a veterinarian who has garnered loyalty from families over many years for his consistent help with multiple pets. The clinic emphasizes thoroughness in their procedures, including meticulous cleaning and sanitization of examination tables between each patient, a practice highly appreciated by clients. While focusing on the doctor’s expertise, the clinic also navigates the challenges of high demand, underscoring the importance of proactive scheduling for pet parents seeking their services.
Angeles Vista Pet Medical Center is conveniently located at 4414 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043, USA. This accessible location places it within the heart of the Crenshaw District, making it a practical choice for pet owners in South Los Angeles, Baldwin Hills, Ladera Heights, and surrounding neighborhoods. Crenshaw Boulevard is a major thoroughfare, facilitating straightforward travel by car. While street parking can be typical for Los Angeles, the clinic notes that "very limited" parking is available in the back, which can be a valuable convenience for those driving. For residents relying on public transportation, the location on Crenshaw Blvd means it is likely served by local bus routes, further enhancing its accessibility for the diverse community of California pet owners. The clinic’s local presence ensures that essential veterinary care is within practical reach for many households in this part of the city.
Comprehensive Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are fundamental to preventative care. The center provides thorough physical examinations to monitor your pet's overall health, detect early signs of illness, and offer tailored advice on nutrition, exercise, and preventative measures for a long, healthy life.
Vaccinations: Essential for protecting pets from a wide range of infectious diseases, the hospital offers a full spectrum of core and non-core vaccinations for both dogs and cats, customized to your pet's specific needs and lifestyle.
Diagnostic Services: While specific equipment details are not public, a general veterinary practice typically offers in-house laboratory testing for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as digital X-rays to aid in diagnosing various medical conditions.
Preventative Care: Focused on proactive health management, including parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworm), deworming, and discussions on optimal nutrition and lifestyle to prevent future health issues.
Puppy and Kitten Care: Specialized initial care plans for young pets, including first vaccinations, deworming, nutritional advice, and guidance for new pet owners on proper care and socialization.
Dental Care: General veterinary practices usually offer professional dental cleanings to prevent periodontal disease, extractions when necessary, and advice on at-home dental hygiene.
Spay & Neuter: These routine surgical procedures are performed to promote responsible pet ownership, control pet overpopulation, and provide significant health and behavioral benefits for your animal.
General Soft Tissue Surgery: Common surgical procedures such as mass removals, laceration repairs, and other non-orthopedic surgeries are typically offered.
Urgent Care: While not a 24/7 emergency hospital, general practices like this center can often handle urgent but non-life-threatening conditions during their operational hours.
Experienced Veterinarian (Dr. Hardy): Dr. Hardy is consistently highlighted by loyal clients for his ability to help families with multiple pets over many years, indicating a long-standing positive relationship with the community and a depth of experience. He is described as a good doctor, suggesting strong medical acumen.
Exceptional Cleanliness and Sanitization: A standout feature appreciated by clients is the clinic's commitment to hygiene. They "clean and sanitize the tables before every pet is seen," which provides immense reassurance to pet owners about their pet's safety and health.
Dedicated Support Staff (e.g., Roxana): Individual staff members, such as Roxana, are specifically noted for being "very kind and helpful," contributing to a positive experience for clients. This personalized touch enhances the overall service quality.
High Demand and Popularity: The consistent advice to "call in advance because he stays booked" indicates a high level of trust and demand for Dr. Hardy's services, suggesting a reputable and sought-after practice within the community.
Limited On-Site Parking: While limited, the presence of parking in the back is a noted convenience, which can be valuable in a busy Los Angeles neighborhood where parking can often be challenging.
Important Considerations (Based on reviews): While Dr. Hardy is highly praised, some client reviews suggest areas for improvement in staff communication and client service protocols, particularly regarding timely updates on pet readiness and adherence to stated closing times. One review highlighted a distressing incident where a pet was left overnight without client notification of early closure, raising concerns about communication and professional standards in handling pet pick-ups outside of scheduled hours. Prospective clients are advised to confirm pick-up procedures and closing times explicitly during scheduling and drop-off to ensure a smooth experience.

Dr Hardy has helped me and my family with multiple pets that we’ve had over the years. Make sure to call in advanced because he stays booked! They clean and sanitize the tables before every pet is seen which is awesome and I really like. Thanks Dr hardy and the rest of the team! 🙏🏼❤️Update : Came back 5/12/22 and just noticed they have parking In the back! (It’s very limited) but very cool. May 12, 2022 · Carlos F VilchezSTAFF SUCKS!!! Their doctor is good, thankfully, but their stuff is rude and sucks!! my aunt dropped off her dog for a visit and they told her that they would call her when he was done. Hours pass and she doesn’t get a call until around 3:30pm where the woman on the phone says “Are you on your way?”. My aunt said “oh is he done?” The woman replies “he's BEEN done”. My aunt said “you never called me.” The woman replies “I told you to just come.” Which is false as she told my aunt they would CALL HER when he was done” but the call ends and the woman on the phone DOESNT MENTION ANYTHING ELSE… my aunt heads over and gets there at 4:11pm only To find the lights off and no one in the building. They left without giving her dog back to her, but they NEVER told her THAT THEY WERE CLOSING at 4:00pm!!! So my aunts dog had to stay in the vets office the WHOLE night by himself unattended without eating the whole day. Plus my aunts dog has a history of SEIZURES!! They are lucky nothing happened while he was left unattended for so many hours during the night. The staff lacks empathy and LACKS communication skills with clients. And i should know, i am a veterinary technician myself and the clinic i am currently employed at would NEVER:1. Not do a courtesy call to alert the client that their pet is ready2. Not tell a client that our vet office is closing soon and to please make it by a certain hour3. Not wait for a client. if that client was running a few minutes late for pick up, we would WAIT for them to come PICK UP their pet!!!They definitely need to talk to their staff and work something out and or get new staff. This is not OK and it should not be occurring in a professional medical office. Please DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE.
Apr 27, 2025 · Cesia Astorga-VillaltaI came to this pet hospital because I was desperate and my dog needed to see a vet since her kidneys were failing and she had an infection. He said he would keep her until closing and put her on fluids and antibiotics. When I came to pick her up she was doing even worse. She couldn’t walk so the assistant lifted her by her harness and put her in front of me. No one could tell me what was going on with my dog and just said to bring her back tomorrow if she didn’t do well. The vet staff were also very rough with my dog which was unnecessary since she was already very sick.I ended up going to ACCESS Culver City, where she was well taken care of. I wish the vet was genuine with me and let me know she wasn’t doing well and to take her somewhere else. Time was of the essence and she may have actually had a better prognosis if she were seen sooner. If he didn’t have the supplies that’s fine, but to have me spend almost $300 for my dog to look worse than I dropped her off is insane.
