★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We’ve been with Dr. Lohani for over 8 years now — since the day he helped us choose our pup. Over the years, he’s been there through everything: stomach infections, vaccinations, parasite issues, and more. His care has been consistent, thoughtful, and above all, focused on what’s best for the animal — not the money. One moment that truly stood out was when our dog had a severe reaction after eating plant fertilizer. My family was out of town and I had to be at work. I called Dr. Lohani, and without hesitation, he told me to drop our dog off at his clinic. He took care of everything while I was at the office, and I picked up a much healthier pup on my way back. That kind of support and trust is rare.I’ve followed Dr. Lohani through multiple clinics over the years, and I’m so glad he finally opened his own practice. It’s a reflection of everything he stands for — compassion, expertise, and putting pets first.Thank you, Dr. Lohani, for always being there for our furry family member and for treating him like your own.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, patient, and genuinely compassionate.Pluto can be a bit nervous at the vet, but the team handled him with such kindness and expertise that he quickly settled down. Dr Lohani took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions, and ensured Pluto was comfortable throughout the checkup. The facility was clean, well-organized, and clearly run by professionals who love animals. I left feeling reassured that Pluto is in excellent hands here.Highly recommend Dawson Forest Animal Hospital and specifically Dr Lohani to anyone looking for quality, caring veterinary care. Thank you for taking such great care of Pluto!- Rahul
July 23 · rahul desaiWe started going to Dawson forest animal hospital (Dr Lobani) being not so satisfied with our Previous Vet. Dr Lohani is one of the caring and kind Vet we have ever met. Staff is also very friendly, professional and Knowledgeable. Our Leo is very comfortable and well taken care of when ever there is a need. We are very pleased with our choice at Dawson forest animal hospital and we would lightly recommend the place for everyone.
March 05 · madhuri moparthyMy son recently brought in his puppy for a possible obstruction in his stomach and was hoping to get the help needed but ended up leaving frustrated with no answers as to what was exactly wrong. He was very upset with how unprofessional the vet was and how he didn’t seem too concerned about the issues the puppy was having. My son ended up having to rush his puppy to a different vet the next day, who immediately jumped into action and recognized how serious this was and in a matter of minutes saw a blockage on the X-ray that was sent over from this vet! He had to have emergency surgery to save his life, which could have been prevented if this vet would have taken the necessary precautions and actually looked at his X-ray that clearly shows a blockage. This incident screams malpractice and I pray that no one else has to go through what my son and his dog had to go through.Update:I find it a little amusing that the business responded by trying to cover their lack of care by deflecting it on a 19 year old who “was on a budget”. You claim to have informed him that you believed there was a blockage and gave him free medication instead of trying to confirm a real diagnosis. If you would have expressed a real concern like you claim then my son would have called me and asked for financial help, which is exactly what he did when he took his puppy to a different veterinarian. Instead of making excuses and blaming a young adult who wanted nothing more than to help his dog, you should have been upfront and honest that there was most likely a foreign object causing the blockage and what the next steps needed to be instead of telling them to come back the next day for another X-ray. He did not tell you that he’s been having this issue on and off for weeks, it was that the puppy had swallowed and threw back up a sock a few weeks prior. And telling him the reason why you didn’t say anything about seeing a blockage on the X-ray was because “you didn’t want to worry him” is a sorry excuse. You could have killed his puppy for not being upfront and honest about the situation and if hadn’t been for my son realizing that something needed to be done immediately. $2,400 later he is back to his playful, sweet self no thanks to your practice.
February 21 · The Chaotic BunchI never do this but…I brought in my 2 year old Belgium Malinois who was sick . We’re were not allowed to get out of the car for them to examine him. Which out of the car he would have been fine with strangers. Without doing an exam on him he was diagnosed with having kennel cough and given medication. He proceeded to get worse, so I called them back scheduled an appointment. The doctor didn’t even provide an examination even though he was getting worse. He then prescribed a different medication. Preacher continued to get worse so we took him to Towne Lake Animal Hospital who brought him inside and did AN ACTUAL EXAM, then diagnosed with double pneumonia and cardio emgally “enlarged heart”. If pneumonia have been caught sooner that could have been treated. Dawson forest was afraid of him because of the breed he was if they allowed us to take him outta the car they would have found that he was a very sweet and loving dog who would have allowed them to examen him very easily WITHOUT sedation. I feel they did not want him to come inside because of the cleaning that would have been required if he TRULY did have Kennel Cough, which HE NEVER HAD! Do to this we lost what we considered a member of our family. I would not suggest using this animal hospital to anyone. Hope this helps to save your pet. He’s a photo of my sweet boy!Being Victorias father who did speak to you on the phone and informed you that Preacher was eating a little bit but never stated he was getting better I take offense to you implying that I did to cover your butt. It’s amazes me that you couldn’t allow Preacher to exit the car and at least exam him in a comfortable environment for him. It wasn’t a problem when we took him to Towne Lake Emergency Hospital. We entered through the back door and went straight into an exam room. They did an immediate exam and Preacher didn’t have to be muzzled at all. After the exam the immediately placed him in an oxygen chamber during to the severity of the pneumonia. He never growled or showed any aggression to the doing the exam or placing him in the chamber. . They even said he was an incredibly friendly dog. You see you judged him by his breed by muzzling him which scared him. If you had allowed him to exit the vehicle and niit trapped him inside and cornered him the outcome would have been different. Perhaps you will take this to heart on someone else’s pet in the future. As for us you will never treat another pet that we have. Once again we hope this review helps save another persons pet. -Russell (her father)ALSO DO NOT STATE THAT MY DOG INJURED ME HE WAS SCARED, HIS E-COLLAR IS WHAT DID THE LITTLE CUT WHEN HE TURNED TO GET AWAY FROM WHAT THE DR WAS DOING. He is a 5 thousand dollar dog and had 3 thousand dollars worth of tanning. He would have listened to any command that I gave him, and you would have been able to examine him if he wasn’t cornered him in the back seat of my car. -victoria
