Banfield Pet Hospital Reviews
Absolute waste of my time. I booked consult for my cat to get dental cleaning with a possible extraction. I told the receptionist over the phone i needed a rough estimate before I paid for a consult. Because if I couldn’t even afford the cleaning or extractions then I wouldn’t do a consult and waste my money. She was very nice for booking, gave me a complete cost break down.$500 for cleaning$100 or so per tooth extraction$20-30 if any meds were needed to take home$73 vet consultGreat this was affordable. I booked, then go into consult. The vet recommended one MAYBE two teeth pulled. Assistant comes back in with a quote of $1900-$2400. NO WHERE NEAR the $730 max I expected to pay.So not only did they waste my time but they took me $73 for the consult.I understand this estimate can fluctuate a bit but this is INSANE. Coming back with an extra $1200-1700 extra should be criminal. For anyone trying to find affordable vet care before paying & booking consults just don’t go here. They’ll lie to you then take your money anyways.Should have listened to my friends with bad stories here before wasting my time & money.
May 29, 2025 · Christa CassisJasmine received excellent care at Banfield but I don't like some of the changes that have been made since Covid. During her last appointment the vet tech was thorough in asking questions about Jasmine's current health conditions, but since Jasmine was due for her comprehensive blood work, she was taken to the back to have her blood drawn. I assumed that the vet would also come in to examine her first, but she didn't. I would like to have been in the room for Jasmine's exam because sometimes you think of more questions to ask during the exam itself. In all, I believe Jasmine's care has been good at Banfield but I would like to have been in the room while the vet does her examination
Apr 10, 2025 · Patty GirmanI got the cat plan here for my newly adopted senior cat. Helps me do everything I need for this old kitty without breaking the bank too much. Love they have this for cats and dogs !
Aug 22, 2024 · Britanny TorresWas using them as our regular vet and fairly satisfied. Took our cat in for recheck blood work after a hospitalization elsewhere. They insisted on doing a urinalysis as well. Two days later we had the results of the blood work but not the urine, I called multiple times to ask someone to check on the urinalysis, as results aren't accurate if the sample isn't tested fairly quickly. No one answered until the evening, when I was told "it can take several days" to get urinalysis results. We were headed into a weekend, and on Monday evening they finally called to tell me that the sample had not been properly labeled, and so had not been evaluated in a proper time frame, despite the fact that the lab had requested clarification within 24 hours of getting the sample and I had asked someone to follow up within 48. I was told I would have to bring my cat back in for another sample to be collected. I asked for a refund and was told I could not get one unless I went into the clinic to get one, which wasn't possible. Absolutely terrible client/patient care all around from that experience.ETA since Banfield wants me to email them...I already DID that. I was referred back to the clinic, which I've already mentioned, did a crappy job of client and patient care
Jun 23, 2025 · Ogra BayThey were so gentle with my newly andopted older cat. I’ve never had cats so I was a little afraid but my cat did great for being homeless 6 years he didn’t seem afraid of the vet and tech. They have great care plans as well I’d totally recommend coming here !
