When considering Banfield Pet Hospital in Denton, it’s important to look at both the benefits and potential challenges. The hospital's focus on preventive care and comprehensive services is a significant plus. For many pet owners, the availability of a wide range of services, from vaccinations and check-ups to advanced diagnostics and surgery, provides a one-stop-shop for their pet's health needs. The positive experiences shared by clients, such as the caring and supportive nature of the staff during difficult times, underscore the clinic's commitment to compassionate care. The mention of Dr. Cousins and the team being "absolutely amazing" and "very informative and caring" highlights the genuine human connection that many people seek in a veterinary partner. The personalized touch of sending a card after a pet’s passing speaks volumes about the empathy of the staff.
However, it is also important to consider all public data and reviews, including those that highlight potential issues. One review noted a negative experience with administrative and communication errors regarding prescriptions, which caused a delay in medication for a chronically ill senior dog. This kind of feedback suggests that while the medical staff may be highly competent and caring, logistical issues can occasionally arise, leading to frustration for clients. For pet owners with chronic care needs, reliability in communication and administration is as critical as the medical treatment itself.
In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital in Denton offers extensive veterinary services with a strong focus on preventive health and compassionate care. The clinic’s team has received praise for their empathy and support, especially in complex and emotional situations. However, prospective clients should be aware of the potential for administrative challenges, as noted by some users. The decision to choose this clinic should be based on a careful consideration of your pet’s specific needs and your personal priorities regarding service and communication. For many in Texas, the benefits of their comprehensive care and commitment to pet health will make it a worthwhile choice.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Dr. Cousins and the Techs are absolutely amazing. Since September we were trying to find out what was wrong with my baby but unfortunately we were not able to treat it and had to but her down. Dr. Cousins and his team were very informative and caring throughout the 5 months of test after test. They took the time to send out a card with everyone saying nice and caring things and loved my baby as much as I did.
March 18 · Shelby HenryBoth this location and the Flower Mound location are terrible. Our senior dog needs a daily pill for chronic trachea issues, but only certain vets can write the prescription he needs (and they can only write it for a 30 day supply at a time). The problem is the vet will write the prescription on the wrong letterhead (which happened yesterday at the Denton location), and so the pharmacy won't fill it. Of course, that vet is off today, and now we can't get the medication for another day until they return and correct THEIR mistake. We tried the Flower Mound location, and their vet is off until Monday, so I guess that's that, and all we can do is wait because of Banfield's mistake.I regret our wellness plan purchase, and if our dog suffers because of Banfield's inability to provide proper care, then we'll proceed with any and all legal recourse for their negligence. All this to say, do yourself a favor and avoid Banfield. The front office staff is sweet, but you're at the mercy of whichever vet is available at any given moment, and hopefully your pet doesn't run out of their meds while you wait to see who can help you in a few days time.
July 08 · AlanThe front desk staff, vet techs, and vets are all so sweet!!! I love calling them and going in. I never leave without my questions answered and it has been the best deal for my pets and so affordable on the monthly plan compared to other places. I have 3 pets on their monthly plans and plan on adding the other 2. Thank you!!!
October 31 · Tessa DukeTook my cat in for suspected eye infection, was told with absolutely no testing, no temperature was taken, only thing done was looked at her eye, said it was feline herpes and she just needed to wait it out there was nothing he could give us. She worsened, I took her to another vet and she received eye ointment and antibiotics for a URI while they said it was very strange we weren't given testing or medication. Denton Vet Clinic is the same price don't bother coming to where you won't receive any care.
March 25 · Paige CunningThey are so friendly and so kind!!!! They’re helpful and super attentive. Although my cats are spicy when they have to come here, the staff is super accommodating to them.
