Mar 07, 2025 · Frances DiazTLDR: rude veterinarians (2 out of 4 times I’ve been), and you will be made to feel that money is being extracted from you unnecessarily (and may end up wasting the entire $130 clinic visit fee), and they failed to show the best interest of the animal today. The front desk staff and techs are always wonderful.Today I brought my dog for the 4th time in the past few years, this time for blood tinged urine with increased urgency & frequency. The vet was initially willing to prescribe antibiotics for presumed UTI, but only if we paid several hundreds of dollars for urine testing—which would not actually even result until after the course of abx was complete.Initially we agreed, but then the tech came back and reported the dog’s bladder was empty, so they either needed a subcutaneous water injection (additional $120+), or to leave her here to drink and make more urine. We essentially refused to pay more, given the test result likely wouldn’t impact her care, the cost was exorbitant, and they were prescribing abx anyways. Then the vet said nevermind, no empiric abx u less you pay for the testing. The vet wouldn’t even come back and talk to us. We had to stubbornly wait—then, when the vet came back the real problem was that she was so utterly rude and condescending the entire time. Like, a hateful look the entire time. We felt un-listened to, our concern about affordability was ignored, and simply felt like this was a business trying to extract as much money as possible from us with no middle ground to provide the best care for the animal. We ended up walking out of the appointment. We still had to pay the $130 clinic fee. I've been 4 times but will never go back. The first time I went, the vet was also especially rude, rushed, and uninterested. My other two experiences were decent. And the Front desk and tech staff are always lovely and wonderful.Update: just saw a different vet (2hours later), who said “I definitely wouldn’t have let you walk out of there without antibiotics”
Jun 22, 2025 · Dan JonesGreat experience seeing Dr Caitlin Martin with my anxious mini daschhund. She was compassionate, explained things well and treated my dog so sweetly and expertly. I very much appreciate the vet tech and nurse who took care of my dog as well! They turned what normally is a traumatic visit into a relatively painless experience despite a biopsy, blooddraw and 2 vaccines. My dog felt comfortable enough to take a treat at the end of the visit and is completely unphased. Thank you for your wonderful care.
Apr 22, 2025 · Jennifer RathDr. Martin is my all time favorite VET. She’s the sweetest. So helpful. My fur baby is shy and often scared, but the people here are always so gentle and warm.
