Animal Clinic of New York Reviews
One star.I don’t usually write reviews, but after my recent experience at The Animal Clinic of NY, I feel it’s important to speak up—especially when it comes to the care of our pets. The woman in charge at this clinic, the boss, was shockingly rude, cold, and dismissive—not just to me, but to others I observed while waiting. She treated me like an inconvenience and showed absolutely no compassion or concern for my pet, who was clearly in distress. Her lack of professionalism and empathy made an already stressful situation feel even worse.Honestly, if it weren’t for Brianna and Denise, I would have never returned. These two women were the only bright spot in the entire experience. They showed genuine kindness, patience, and concern—not only for my pet but for me as well. They went out of their way to explain things, comfort me, and make sure my animal received proper attention. It’s truly unfortunate that someone in a leadership position can behave so poorly and yet still be allowed to represent the clinic. If it weren’t for Brianna and Denise, I would have completely lost faith in this place. They’re the only reason I gave the clinic a second chance—and they’re the only reason I would ever consider coming back.Management needs a serious change, because no pet owner should have to deal with that kind of disrespect and indifference—especially when their pet’s health is on the line.
Jun 05, 2025 · Swifty StayPaidI cannot say enough about the kindness and care of Dr. Doloroso and her staff. A freak emergency brought my dog and me in this morning, with no appointment—as new patients, no less. The team quickly got us checked in, did a thorough exam, and even got us set up to get records from our other vet. The level of compassion and patience—and a positive report—left me able to walk home with a sense of relief. We will be back, hopefully under much less dramatic circumstances. Thank you!!!
Jun 05, 2025 · Phoebe Anna GuttOne star.Let me just say this — if it wasn’t for Brianna and Denise, I’d never step foot in The Animal Clinic of NY again. The boss there? Straight-up rude. No people skills, no empathy, and honestly acts like she doesn’t even wanna be there. This isn’t a deli counter — it’s a place where people bring their pets, their family. You expect a little compassion, not attitude and cold stares. Same goes for Abby, who’s just as nasty and unprofessional. The way they talk to people is beyond disrespectful — like you’re wasting their time just for needing help. But then you meet Brianna and Denise — total lifesavers. They’re the only ones who actually care, who actually take the time to be kind and helpful. They made me feel heard and, more importantly, they treated my pet like he mattered. They’re calm, professional, and genuinely good people in a place that really needs more of that energy. If management doesn’t see that Brianna and Denise are holding this place together, they’re not paying attention. Everyone else needs some serious customer service training—or better yet, should consider another line of work.
Jun 05, 2025 · Shlumped EOne star.My experience with The Animal Clinic of NY was deeply disappointing, and it stems from the unprofessional and outright disrespectful behavior of the person in charge. The boss at this clinic is by far the rudest individual I’ve encountered in any professional setting. She talks down to both customers and staff, shows no signs of empathy or respect, and acts like she couldn’t care less about her job—or the animals that come through the door. It’s clear she’s not in this field out of passion or care for animals or people. Her attitude creates a toxic environment that makes the entire clinic feel cold, unwelcoming, and disorganized. When leadership sets such a negative tone, it affects everyone—and unfortunately, it shows. Until this clinic addresses the behavior and attitude of the person at the top, I can’t recommend it to anyone looking for compassionate, quality care.
Jun 05, 2025 · Evan ElphageMy cat got stung by a bee to her paw. I took her to this clinic as it was nearby. I'm very disappointed with the staff. Firstly, the doctor seemed upset that I only wanted an antihistamine injection, she wanted to give her steroids as well. Secondly, the man who held my cat (nurse?) didn't acknowledge me, or my cat and just grabbed her from the back so of course she's going to freak out. Then they said I was the one making my cat anxious. I tried to calm her down. They were also looking at me weirdly when I was talking to her. Finally, the bill came to 140 dollars, even though my friend with the same issue paid 80 dollars for both vaccines. The receptionist was nice and understanding, hence 2 stars but I wouldn't recommend it.
