Veterinarian, Acupuncture clinic ★4.0

I brought my 6 year old Border Collie mix to Dr. Finn because he was limping and favoring his hind leg. Dr. Finn determined Poppy has a ligament injury and has worked so well with him to help him heal. We have undertaken a course of injections, PT, Laser Therapy and a collagen supplement. I am happy to say at this point Poppy will not need the potential surgery that had been an option. Dr. Finn and Katie and Alex have all been wonderful, friendly and compassionate toward me (with all my questions) and Poppy. I am so grateful they are in our community! - P Carlson

Christin Finn DVM Introduce

For pet owners in Washington, especially those on the Kitsap Peninsula and surrounding areas, the health and mobility of our animal companions are paramount. When our dogs face issues like lameness, chronic pain, or injuries that slow them down, we look for more than just a quick fix. We seek comprehensive care that addresses the root cause of the problem and offers a path to long-term wellness. This is where Christin Finn DVM, located in Kingston, Washington, stands out. This practice isn't just a traditional veterinary clinic; it is a specialized rehabilitation center focusing on integrative veterinary medicine, combining the best of conventional and alternative therapies to help dogs live their best, most active lives.

Dr. Christin Finn, a veterinarian with extensive training in chiropractic care, acupuncture, and physical rehabilitation, has created a unique practice that prioritizes a holistic approach to animal health. Her philosophy is centered on the belief that imbalances in a pet's body structure and movement can lead to pain and illness. By blending Western diagnostic techniques with Eastern therapeutic modalities and hands-on manipulation, she and her team work to restore balance, alleviate pain, and improve overall function. This approach is particularly beneficial for dogs suffering from common conditions like cruciate ligament injuries, hip dysplasia, and general arthritis, often helping them avoid invasive surgical procedures. The practice's dedication to treating the "whole pet" and not just one symptom is a refreshing and highly effective model of care.

The practice is also a testament to compassionate and personalized care. As a women-owned business, it operates with a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for both pets and their owners. The team understands that a pet's injury can be a source of stress and worry for their family, and they take the time to answer questions, explain treatment plans, and provide reassurance. This family-like atmosphere is a key reason why so many clients trust them with their beloved pets, knowing that they are receiving not only expert medical attention but also genuine care and understanding.

Location and Accessibility

Christin Finn DVM is conveniently situated at 7515 NE State Hwy 104, Kingston, WA 98346, USA. Being positioned on a state highway makes the clinic simple to find and reach, an important factor when you might be traveling with a pet that is in discomfort or has limited mobility.

The facility has been thoughtfully designed to be fully accessible for all visitors. The property includes a wheelchair-accessible car park, ensuring that getting from your vehicle to the building is as easy as possible. Services Offered

The services provided at Christin Finn DVM are specialized and comprehensive, designed to improve a dog's physical health, reduce pain, and enhance their quality of life. The treatments often combine different modalities to achieve the best possible outcome. Some of the key services include:

  • Chiropractic and Osteopathic Manipulation: Hands-on, manual therapy to adjust the spine and other joints, improving mobility and nerve function. This can be a game-changer for pets with back pain, gait issues, or joint stiffness.

  • Canine Physical Rehabilitation: A structured program of physical therapy exercises and treatments to help dogs recover from injuries, surgery (such as ACL/CCL procedures), or chronic conditions like hip dysplasia. This includes therapeutic exercises and conditioning.

  • Veterinary Acupuncture: A traditional Chinese medicine technique using fine needles to stimulate specific points on the body, promoting natural healing and providing significant pain relief for a variety of conditions.

  • Class IV Laser Therapy: A non-invasive treatment that uses a high-intensity laser to stimulate cell repair, reduce inflammation, and accelerate wound healing and recovery from injury.

  • Pain Management: A multi-faceted approach to controlling pain, using a combination of medication refills, manual therapy, laser therapy, and other treatments to ensure a pet's comfort and mobility.

  • Integrative Medicine: Blending conventional veterinary care (including diagnostic and therapeutic medicine) with alternative therapies like Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy, and nutritional therapy for a holistic approach to health.

  • Holistic and Natural Medicine: The practice provides care that focuses on natural, minimally invasive procedures and treatments to help the body heal itself, with a strong emphasis on a pet's overall well-being.

Features / Highlights

Several key features make Christin Finn DVM a distinguished and trusted name in animal care for the Washington community. These highlights are a direct reflection of their specialized focus and compassionate philosophy.

  • Integrative and Holistic Approach: The blend of chiropractic, acupuncture, physical therapy, and traditional medicine provides a more complete and effective treatment for complex conditions. This is a significant advantage over practices that only offer a single modality.

  • Focus on Mobility and Pain Relief: The clinic's expertise in canine rehabilitation is a major highlight. They are dedicated to helping dogs that have been limping, slowing down, or suffering from chronic pain. Their success in helping dogs avoid or delay major surgery, as noted in the reviews, is a testament to this focus.

  • Compassionate and Personalized Care: Both reviews highlight the wonderful, friendly, and compassionate nature of Dr. Finn and her team. They not only treat the animal but also provide support and guidance to the owner, answering questions and building a trusting relationship.

  • Patient-First Philosophy: The review of Poppy the Border Collie is a perfect example of this. The treatment plan, including injections, PT, and laser therapy, was successful in helping the dog heal without needing surgery, which was a potential option. This shows a commitment to conservative and effective care.

  • Expertise with Specific Injuries: The reviews explicitly mention success with a ligament injury (ACL) and back problems, which are common and often debilitating issues for dogs. This specialization provides confidence for owners dealing with similar problems.

  • Women-Owned and LGBTQ+ Friendly: The business’s identity as a women-owned and LGBTQ+ friendly establishment reinforces its commitment to being a welcoming, inclusive, and modern practice that serves a diverse community.

What is worth choosing

For Washington pet owners, Christin Finn DVM is an excellent choice for several compelling reasons that are clearly demonstrated in their patient success stories. This is a place that offers hope and real, tangible results for dogs that are struggling with pain and mobility issues.

First, the most powerful endorsement comes from the real-life experiences of their clients. The story of Poppy, the Border Collie mix, is a perfect example. After a ligament injury, the owner was facing the possibility of surgery. However, through a comprehensive treatment plan that included injections, physical therapy, and laser therapy, Dr. Finn helped Poppy heal completely, making the surgery unnecessary. This outcome is not only a financial relief for the owner but, more importantly, a testament to the effectiveness of Dr. Finn’s approach. It shows that her practice can offer a better way, prioritizing natural healing and rehabilitation before resorting to invasive procedures.

The second review, from the owner of an American Bulldog, further solidifies this point. The owner states that Dr. Finn “saved my American Bulldog from back surgery” and that after just six months of treatment, the 7-year-old dog was "like a puppy again." This dramatic transformation from a dog facing major surgery to one with renewed vitality speaks volumes about the expertise and skill of Dr. Finn. Her ability to provide effective alternatives and constantly seek "new ways to help" shows a deep, professional commitment to her patients' well-being. This is particularly valuable for owners who may be feeling hopeless or skeptical about their pet's condition.

Finally, the compassionate and kind nature of the entire team, including Dr. Finn, Katie, and Alex, makes the entire experience a positive one. The fact that the staff is "wonderful, friendly and compassionate" toward both the dog and the owner is crucial. It’s not just about the medical treatment; it's about the partnership between the care provider and the pet family. The gratitude expressed by clients for having such a resource in their community underscores just how rare and valuable this level of care is. For anyone in Washington seeking to improve their dog's health, mobility, and happiness, Christin Finn DVM offers a unique, expert, and deeply caring approach that is truly worth choosing.
