Clark County Veterinary Clinic

4.0
I have used this clinic for my cats grooming for a while now and took my new doodle this week and was very unhappy. Her face hair looks half shaved and nothing was done to her body hair besides a bath and blow out. I understand grooming a wild puppy could be very hard. I’d recommend not accepting puppies in that case or Making the owner more aware of a wack job that it will be. Not to mention I didn’t know upfront it was time for my cat vaccinations instead of being aware of that extra cost before hand I was told when they already took the animals back. That’s all fine, I’m just frustrated that I paid for grooming and the job was horrible. I will be taking my pets to a new place for grooming. I’m not one to complain a lot I’m pretty easy going. This is actually my first Google review ever. The staff is friendly and the vet services are great to end on a positive note. (Picture is day after service) - Kesha S

Features / Highlights

What truly sets Clark County Veterinary Clinic apart, beyond their extensive services, are the qualities consistently highlighted by their grateful clients. These features demonstrate their unique approach to animal care:
  • Deep Compassion and Empathy: Clients repeatedly emphasize the "bleeding hearts" of the vets and staff, noting that they genuinely care for pets as if they were their own. This compassionate approach extends to difficult decisions, with staff crying alongside families during euthanasia.
  • Exceptional Emergency Response: The clinic's ability to act swiftly in emergencies is a significant highlight. For instance, a client noted how their cat, hit by a car, was noticed and rushed back for care immediately, emphasizing their prompt and life-saving attention.
  • Transparent and Reasonable Pricing: Pet owners consistently praise the clinic for being "very upfront when it comes to pricing" and for offering "many options." This transparency, combined with "incredibly reasonable" costs (as low as $500 for emergency care that might cost over $1,000 elsewhere), provides immense financial relief and builds trust.
  • Honest Opinions and Sufficient Time: Veterinarians are commended for giving honest opinions and ample time for pet owners to make informed decisions about their animal's care, fostering a true partnership.
  • Friendly and Sweet Reception Staff: The front desk staff, particularly the receptionist, is described as "incredibly sweet and friendly," making clients feel comfortable and willing to ask questions. This positive first impression sets a welcoming tone for the entire visit.
  • Consistent High-Quality Care: Many long-term clients trust this clinic exclusively for all their pets' needs, through various health challenges, indicating a consistent delivery of excellent service over time.
  • Personalized Care: The commitment to treating each animal with individual attention, recognizing their unique needs and behaviors, especially during stressful situations like vet visits.
It is important to note that while the veterinary and customer service aspects receive overwhelming praise, some clients have expressed dissatisfaction with grooming services, particularly regarding the execution of specific cuts and communication about vaccination costs during grooming appointments. While the clinic offers grooming, those seeking specialized styling for certain breeds, especially puppies, might want to discuss expectations thoroughly beforehand or consider separate grooming facilities. However, this does not detract from the highly-regarded medical care provided.
