When considering a veterinary clinic for your animals, Crestline Veterinary Clinic Ltd presents a complex picture with both significant strengths and very serious concerns. The positive testimonials highlight the clinic's remarkable ability to provide quick, compassionate, and effective care, particularly in urgent situations, as seen with the sick goat. The fact that they are willing to provide antibiotics right away and are described as a group of people who "truly care about animals" is a powerful testament to their dedication. Their specialization in both small and large animals, coupled with convenient services like house visits and a full pharmacy, makes them an incredibly valuable resource for the rural Illinois community. However, a highly critical and detailed review raises grave allegations of negligence, malpractice, and a lack of transparency and compassion following a tragic incident. The review alleges that a perfectly healthy dog passed away during a routine neuter due to what the clinic reportedly admitted was a mistake, and that the staff was rude and unhelpful when the family sought answers. This serious account of a negative outcome and subsequent poor communication and behavior cannot be overlooked. For local users in Illinois, this information is crucial. While the clinic has the potential to provide excellent care, as demonstrated in some reviews, the allegations of negligence and a lack of accountability following a negative outcome are deeply concerning. What is worth choosing about this clinic is its broad service range and positive feedback from some clients. However, potential clients must be aware of the serious risks and conflicting accounts of care and professionalism. It is recommended to proceed with caution and to have a thorough discussion with the clinic about their procedures, protocols, and communication policies before entrusting them with your pet's care.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What an amazing group of people. We woke up this morning to a very sick goat I was able to show up explain the symptoms and get some antibiotics right away! These people truly care about animals I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for care for their animals.
August 20 · James RichardsonWe took our perfectly healthy shar pei, Winston to Crestline for a routine neuter. We were told to drop him off first thing in the morning and come back in the evening. Evening comes and we were told “he is just a little groggy, he needs to stay overnight”. We agree and allowed him to stay overnight. Saturday morning, we get a call from Dr. Stone’s team “Winston passed, have a good day”. As one would wonder, what happened my to my perfectly healthy 2 year old dog? We call the clinic to ask further questions to be ignored by the clinic. This is when my family went to the clinic in person to ask our clarifying questions. They responded with “this is our bad, shar peis are just an unique breed”. Crestline with negligence euthanized Winston. They admitted to not starting the IV correctly, and kept injecting the medication incorrectly which caused my pup to pass away under their care. Throughout the process of my family and I trying to say our goodbyes to my perfect dog, the staff was very rude and disrespectful to myself as i’m trying to come to a conclusion to why this had happened. This was when the vet tech had told me that “I didn’t know what I was talking about” and that Dr. Stone (as expected) was unavailable to speak with me.This Vet has lost all service for my other Shar Peis and other dog owners need to be aware of their negligence and malpractice that took place when Winston was in their care.
October 16 · GretaCrestline is great. They are very patient, kind, and willing to give an explanation to all my questions in a detailed manner.
March 10 · Ann BeckWe had used crestline for years. We had noticed that our dog had stopped eating and was not acting himself. When I called to get him in I told them he had not ate in 3-4 days and they said to call if he got worse. Well unfortunately he got worse and passed away. When I called to tell them their response was o, thanks for calling have a nice day”! Fast forward to last month and we got a new pup. The lady that we bought her from was going to pay for the first shots and unfortunately used crestline. So I took her to the appointment and they did no check up on her. Gave her shots looked in her ears and called it a day. When I took her to her new vet she was completely checked over, heart, lungs, legs. Patients are not important to them. While I was in the office with the pup Dr. Stone asked me why I hadn’t brought Bandit in (my other dog) lately. When I told her I had called and they said to call when it got worse and that he had passed her only response was yeah I guess that’s worse.
May 23 · Bethany McKibbenGreat care and affordable. They do not do unnecessary things to make money like other vets do, this is how you know she truly cares and wants the best for the animals.
