Dermatology for Animals - Albuquerque Reviews
We had been racking our brains and taking our dog to numerous Veterinarians trying to figure out what skin condition our dog had. Thousands of dollars later and finally getting in with the dermatologist, we found out she (our dog) is allergic to the sun!! Thank you all so much for finally giving us the correct diagnosis for our babygirl. She is the Princess of the house and to see her suffer like she has for almost a year has been extremely difficult for all three of us. But now we know and have taken steps to give her as much sun protection we can give her because she loves being in the sun. Again thank you all for being so professional and truly care about our dog.
May 27, 2025 · Christina SalasDr. Mount is one of the most compassionate vets I've taken my cats to. She and her staff have helped me understand my cat's treatment plans and listen with patience to all the questions I've had.
May 10, 2025 · Susan See**Update** since the response was edited I will update my review as well. Let's go to the real moment of issue last summer... Daniel is toxic & deserves to be fired for how he treated me, but either way he should NEVER deal with customers. He verbally attacks lifetime customers leaving them without options other than to walk away. At which point we lifetime patients were "no longer parients" & when things recently got worse, we are now currently waiting 6months to be reestablished as patients ON A TERMINAL CANCER DIAGNOSIS! Just to try to speak with the Dr! Daniel had issue in our June conversation regarding medications where he accused me of lying, terminated phone call & proceeded to continue hanging up everytime I tried to contact and speak with someone else. This is UNACCEPTABLE from ANYONE dealing with customers and has resulted in immediate termination at any employer I have ever dealt with. & the fact that Daniel was defended instead of APOLOGIES made to the customer is unfathomable. I was ATTACKED by your staff. When I called last week ALL I ASKED WAS FOR DR TO HAVE A DISCUSSION WITH ME REGARDING THIS TYPE OF CANCER DIAGNOSIS. I do not need any services I simply needed to speak with his previous Dr for questions such as her experience of rate of metastasizing internally & difference between this cutaneous hemangiosarcoma vs mast cell cancer that I am already very familiar with. Normal information but I DO NOT NEED ANYONE TO TELL ME OR ADVISE ME I just needed help clarifying the situation! But also I assumed she would want to know about the changes in his condition. She had kept up on the lipomas for 3years now and them progressing was something I assumed she should be informed about as well. Plus that I could utilize a second professional opinion for additional input and options. This is not rocket science, there are only so many treatment options and that is all I need. My contact info IS in the system, if anyone truly wants to provide some constructive resolution to our issue I would very much appreciate it. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE PET HAS NOT BEEN MENTIONED, only the "rules & protocols" no one has even asked how Diesel is doing right now. MY DOG, YOUR PATIENT NEEDS YOUR HELP & after thousands upon thousands of $$$ I have spent over Diesels whole life, speaking with the Dr should be OFFERED AND HAPPILY PROVIDED. WE SHOULD NOT BE TREATED THIS WAY. PERIOD.Service from Dr & most staff is beyond exceptional, however customer relations & constructive feedback for productivity of patient/provider relationship is non existent. For my 10+yrs as client they've only care about money not communicating with patients for well being of all. Wish they could try to work with customers, I am for going on 6 years very disgruntled. Life or death of patients still won't allow them to bend policies or make accommodations or even have dr talk with you.Don't think this review will even be visible to others, they've removed my honest reviews in the past in Ca, same chain...
Apr 02, 2025 · Katherine HixsonThe facility houses several veterinary specialists so do not be put off by the lack of signage on the exterior of the building identifying the dermatologist in specific. Ample parking to include several handicap parking spaces. The clinics have a consolidated reception desk who greet you on arrival and then notify the clinic that you have arrived. The staff of the dermatology clinic are very friendly. Things will move quickly if you have filled out the paperwork they send you ahead of time. Both the RNs and Dr. Mount are super friendly and were able to put my cat at ease. They take time to see if you have any questions and do an excellent job explaining the diagnosis. They are the only veterinary dermatologist in the state of NM so you may find that the wait time for initial appointments are longer than one might expect. However, I can strongly recommend this clinic for pet ear issues and/or skin issues.
Sep 20, 2024 · Fred TI've always been happy with Dermatology for Animals. Dr. Mount is very knowledgeable and thorough. Her expertise is impressive. Her vet tech. Daniel is a good addition to her and they make a great team. They're not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. They usually run right on time and I would highly recommend them.
