Dunloggin Veterinary Hospital Reviews
We came in for a vaccine required for one of my dogs and a heart worm blood test for the other dog. We were supposed to see a vet. Instead we were told that the vet was busy and a tech could do all of that. (But we scheduled with a vet for questions about other things). Each animal was taken in the back and given vaccines that we weren’t told about (and didn’t authorize). My dog getting the heart worm test wasn’t due for vaccines for months. Then the person who mistakenly gave the vaccines said that I should be happy I got it early to save me a trip (not even considering all of the other vaccines he was supposed to get annually). Of course they billed me for the unauthorized services. The practice manager’s response to injecting my animals erroneously was that they would have a meeting about it and some extra training. They do not seem to understand that it’s a big deal to do this. We were supposed to have one of the dogs get their dental in a week which we canceled. I do not think they are not competent enough for vaccines that they should be doing anything more advanced than that.I would never take a pet back to this place. I would recommend others steer clear.
Apr 25, 2025 · Laticia HaramotoMy senior cat (almost 10 years old) has an unknown condition that has worsened so quickly that I have had to come to terms he may not be with us much longer. I must admit, I want to be selfish and prolong the inevitable, as long as I can--but for his sake, I can't let him suffer any longer.Dr. Allison Shobe, DVM is a phenomenal veterinarian and the techs, I've encountered, are all very friendly. They have impeccable bedside manner. I have read testimonies about vet doctors and how "cold" they can be; however, I am grateful to say this isn't the case with Dr. Shobe. I know she knows it's his time to go but she didn't outright say it, to be considerate of my feelings. She told me my options and carefully expressed what she thought would be his likely chances of recovery. I was in an emotional state when this was all occurring so there was no way I could make a decision right then but Dr. Shobe didn't pressure or push me to make one. I went home cried it out and had a talk with family. I'm heartbroken but I don't want my Phil to suffer any longer.Dr. Shobe called later in the evening to follow up with me and continued to be compassionate. She didn't judge me for my decision or try to sway me in any direction. No cash grabs or attempts to upsell. I respect her a lot for that.Ultimately, I think my family will choose euthanasia. I hope we can schedule with Dr. Shobe. I will update my review later to reflect my later experiences with the practice.I do plan to take my other cat here for her future wellness visits.
May 27, 2025 · TeresaThis amazing, majority female veterinary hospital runs like a well oiled machine. They are super knowledgeable and incredibly friendly. When I moved to Catonsville last year, finding a top rated vet office for my Australian Cattle Dog was a top priority and I'm so happy I found Dunloggin when I did.Despite their parking lot being on the small side, I've never had any trouble finding a parking space because the staff all park behind the building in an even smaller parking area. This is the first evidence of Dunloggin putting their patients' human friends at the front of the line. The office is small and the hallway could easily become a point of high anxiety for you and your pet. But the staff does their best to coordinate the movement of people and pets to ensure there aren't any high stress incidents for anyone.Take your precious pet to this animal hospital. You won't regret it.
Jul 20, 2023 · PeteHighly recommend this vet clinic. We could not be more pleased with the extraordinary service our three dogs have received from Dunloggin over the years. While each of the vets we’ve seen at Dunloggin deliver effective, compassionate care - we mainly see Dr. Holland. She’s caring, kind, and deeply experienced. We never feel rushed during visits and Dr. Holland takes time to answer all our questions. The front desk staff and Vet Techs are also terrific. Clean, well-run clinic.
