---Animal Dental Center provides a comprehensive range of specialized dental services tailored to address various oral health concerns in pets. Their expertise spans from preventative care to complex surgical procedures, all performed with the highest standards of veterinary medicine.
Comprehensive Oral Examinations and Cleanings: Just like humans, pets benefit from regular dental check-ups and cleanings to prevent the build-up of plaque and tartar, which can lead to periodontal disease. These procedures are performed under anesthesia to ensure thoroughness and minimize stress for your pet.
Dental Radiography (X-rays): To accurately diagnose issues beneath the gum line, such as fractured roots, bone loss, or unerupted teeth, full-mouth dental X-rays are essential. Animal Dental Center utilizes advanced digital radiography for precise imaging.
Root Canal Therapy: For fractured or diseased teeth, root canal therapy can often save the tooth, preventing the need for extraction. This complex procedure preserves the natural tooth structure, minimizing recovery time and potential complications associated with extractions. As one customer noted about their cat, Rocket, "He fractured a canine and they were able to save the tooth and do a root canal, which is not cheap but well worth it compared to a long recovery & other issues extraction can cause."
Periodontal Disease Treatment: This includes scaling, root planing, and often advanced surgical interventions to treat and manage gum disease, which is very common in pets and can lead to significant health problems if left unaddressed.
Tooth Extractions: When a tooth is severely damaged, diseased, or cannot be saved through other treatments, surgical extraction may be necessary. Animal Dental Center performs extractions with meticulous care, focusing on pain management and a smooth recovery, even in cases requiring the removal of multiple teeth, as described by a customer whose cat "had to remove all of her teeth."
Oral Surgery: Beyond extractions, they perform various oral surgical procedures for conditions like oral tumors, jaw fractures, and congenital abnormalities.
Orthodontics: Addressing malocclusions (improper bites) that can cause pain or difficulty eating.
Animal Dental Center stands out in the Maryland veterinary community due to several distinguishing features that underscore their commitment to specialized care and client satisfaction.
Specialized Expertise: Unlike general veterinary practices that offer a broad range of services, Animal Dental Center focuses exclusively on veterinary dentistry. This specialization means their veterinarians and staff have advanced training and experience in all aspects of pet oral health, from routine cleanings to complex surgical procedures. This dedicated focus ensures a higher level of expertise and precision in every treatment.
Advanced Technology and Techniques: The center is equipped with state-of-the-art dental technology, including digital dental X-ray systems for accurate diagnostics and advanced surgical tools. They utilize modern anesthetic protocols and monitoring equipment to ensure the safety and comfort of every patient during procedures.
Compassionate and Client-Focused Care: Customer testimonials frequently highlight the exceptional care and communication provided by the Animal Dental Center team. Pet owners consistently praise the staff for their kindness, clear explanations of treatment options, and regular updates throughout the day of their pet's procedure. One satisfied customer noted, "Every contact with them was great - we made a quick appointment, they explained all of our options carefully, and treated our boy such care, we knew he was in good hands. They kept us updated throughout the day, which was paramount for us, and we got him back that afternoon." This emphasis on communication and compassionate handling of pets truly sets them apart.
Rapid Recovery and Positive Outcomes: The specialized nature of their work often leads to quicker recovery times and excellent outcomes for pets. As evidenced by a customer's experience with their cat, Rocket, who had a root canal, he was "totally back to normal within a day or two!" This efficiency and effectiveness are significant benefits for pet owners seeking the best possible care for their animals' dental health.
Emergency Appointments: The ability to accommodate emergency situations, as demonstrated by a customer who was able to get their cat in for an emergency appointment within a day, highlights their responsiveness and commitment to addressing urgent dental needs quickly.

Animal Dental Center Reviews
ADC was amazing with our sweet baby boy, Rocket (2 yr old cat). He fractured a canine and they were able to save the tooth and do a root canal, which is not cheap but well worth it compared to a long recovery & other issues extraction can cause. He was totally back to normal within a day or two!Every contact with them was great - we made a quick appointment, they explained all of our options carefully, and treated our boy such care, we knew he was in good hands. They kept us updated throughout the day, which was paramount for us, and we got him back that afternoon.I could not recommend a more competent & caring place to bring your furry loved ones, they are AWESOME!!!
Jun 24, 2025 · Donna SnyderI was able to get my cat in for an emergency appointment within a day. Turns out they had to remove all of her teeth. Although the costs were a little higher compared to other places, the services were exceptional and they were able to provide my poor cat with relief.
May 05, 2025 · Dian KingIf I could give six stars I would. I brought my six-year-old hound in for a slab fracture on the recommendation of my veterinarian. Dr. Luskin and his staff were knowledgeable, compassionate, and highly skilled.
Apr 26, 2024 · Anne ShowalterMy pom went in for his dental. Usually my vet does the cleaning but his k9 was lose, and I was referred there. Dr. Kim was awesome and comforting. She explained everything in detail and why he needed all his teeth remove. She was so sweet to both me and my pom. After the surgery, she sent me pictures of before, during and after, which I very much appreciate. I also like that they are very thorough with the pre-op. The front desk was very nice. Overall, I had a good experience. For improvement -- with the amount of money you pay, I feel like we all should have a red carpet treatment. As soon as you walk into the place, it says something about if your dog poop/pee, it’s your responsibility to clean up. I think they should have a warmer welcome sign. As a pet parent, I’m nervous as it is. If our dogs poop/pee, help us clean it up especially the amount we’re paying. While we’re holding our babies who could be in pain and nervous, let us just focus on that. My poms never poop and pee in a doctor’s office before, but I feel for other pawrents. Lastly, I do think the price is outrageous. It was almost $5000!
Oct 11, 2024 · Alex GrayMy boyfriend and I are beyond happy with the service Dr. Hutt and his team provided for our furbaby. After getting our cat, we realized she had a multitude of health issues including a heart murmur and numerous dental occlusions. We were referred to this dental center and after the doctor walked us through the various options with the pros and cons of each, we all agreed for the full mouth extraction. The three factors that helped us in our decision was that we wanted our cat to have a happier life, minimize the risk from her heart murmur from being under multiple doses of anesthesia, and also, by doing the full extraction, it would save us a lot of money over her lifespan. The team here called us and checked on our cat over the next two weeks and gave such great advice and knowledge. Today our furbaby is out of her cone and we all couldn't be happier with our experience! Thank you Dr. Hutt and team!
