May 02 · Terry KleinDr. Babicz is such a wonderful vet! She's thorough, kind, takes her time and asks questions while interacting with my pup.....I wouldn't have anyone else.
July 27 · Annette BigginI had a really awful experience at Elkhorn Veterinary Clinic in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, and I feel like I need to share it to warn other pet owners. I took my sweet dog, Max, in for what I thought was a routine check-up, and it turned into a complete nightmare. The staff seemed so disorganized from the moment I walked in—like they didn’t even know we had an appointment. The front desk person was rude, barely looked up from their computer, and made me feel like I was bothering them just by being there. When we finally saw the vet, things didn’t get any better. They rushed through the exam, didn’t listen to my concerns about Max’s recent coughing, and brushed it off as “probably nothing.” I had to practically beg them to run some tests, and even then, they seemed annoyed. The worst part? They misdiagnosed Max’s condition, which led to weeks of unnecessary stress and suffering for him. I later found out from another vet that it was a serious respiratory issue that could’ve been caught early if they’d taken the time to do their job properly. The clinic itself felt dirty, and I noticed some equipment looked outdated, which made me question how up-to-date their care really is. To top it all off, they overcharged me for the visit and tacked on fees for things they didn’t even explain. I’ve never felt so dismissed and taken advantage of. I love my dog more than anything, and it breaks my heart that I trusted these people with his care. Please, if you care about your pets, go somewhere else. This place doesn’t deserve your business.
July 29 · Ron ParsonsEveryone was very kind and considerate, from the office staff to the Vet assistant, Melissa and also the Veterinarian, Melissa. My dog Lucy was very nervous, and they immediately put her at ease.We were in and out of there in about 20 minutes and actually had a small procedure done while we were there.
August 09 · Eileen Arnoldhad called because my dog was sick and had to put her down. my boyfriend said on the phone we wanted her ashes and asked about the cost and the person on the phone explained the different ways and costs. we said we would like to do the group cremation that has the seperate areas and confirmed we would still be getting her ashes back even though there were multiple dogs being cremated together. when we got to the vet, we had the person we had just spoken to on the phone helping us in the lobby. in the room we had the same conversation, my boyfriend confirmed we would get them back and they said yes. the dog is mine, so I signed the paperwork they said was for her ashes. I was obviously a hysterical mess because I was losing my best friend and my whole world which is why my boyfriend came. he heard me say i wanted her ashes back and thats what i assumed I was signing for when the vet tech said “this is for her ashes”. i left that appointment with the vet saying she will be taken care of and I assumed I would get my baby back soon. I was nervous the next day when I realized I got no reciept or anything but everyone reassured me it would be ok. a week later, i hadn’t heard anything from the vet so i called and asked about my dog’s ashes. they said on tuesday (8/20) they would be done by thursday that week. they said “she should be ready to be picked up by thursday” (8/22) i felt relief in hearing that knowing that i would get her back soon. they never called me thursday, i gave them friday to call me. I called them Saturday, no answer and the office closed at noon so i figured I’d call them monday (8/26). I call them monday, takes a few calls to get an answer which is fine but they answer finally and they said they would have to call me back. they call me back an hour later saying I never signed for her ashes and they didn’t have them. they asked if i was sure i signed for them and i said i had said MULTIPLE TIMES i wanted them back because why would I not? they tried asking if i was just emotional at the time and am mis-remembering which i found insane to ask. obviously i was emotional, but my boyfriend had heard the conversation and was in the room the whole time and he was level headed. sure, i now know I should read the fine print but I assumed when we have not one, but two discussions about me wanting to get her ashes back and the different ways dogs get cremated and you come to me with a document and say “this one is for her ashes”, im gonna assume thats me signing for her ashes back. maybe you guys gave me the wrong document or something which is really then on you but I know what we discussed and i feel like im yelling at a wall because no one seems to care. if this was a human family member, this would be another story but since this is a dog, this negligent behavior feels as though it is being severely overlooked. i know at this point, my sweet angel girl is gone forever and you will never be able to make me feel okay about the situation but do better. I wish i had these conversations on recording because you guys are making me feel insane. i know what our conversations were and I wasn’t even the only one to witness them. every single person in my life knew i wanted them back, i had bought an urn for her. so why would I not sign for them back? your shitty office work and poor listening skills, made me lose my dog forever. thanks a lot elkhorn veterinary hospital.
