★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1If I could give negative stars I would. So very disappointed! You shouldn't advertise 24 Hour Emergency Care if you aren't going to actually do it. My daughter found her horse bleeding out in the pasture at 11pm on a Friday night from a laceration on her leg above and behind the hoof. We fought to stop the bleeding and calm her down until 1am when she desperately called for help, because it wouldn't stop and the horse was getting woozy. Susan answered and just kept replying, "well it's 1am".....aren't you advertising 24 Hour Emergency services? Then it becomes "well you are too far"...we are literally 2 minutes up the road from the ranch my daughter volunteers at and where Riley was boarded when you saw her last! 2 Minutes!! If you are going to tell someone, especially a teenage girl, that they can depend on you for services or if she has an emergency and needs you, you should damn well be there!! No teenage girl should have to stand with her horse for 14 hours trying to keep her from bleeding out! We finally found a vet in Greencastle that was open Saturday morning and was able to come out, as soon as she got there she referred us on to Purdue Equine Hospital when she saw how bad it was. They were all waiting on standby for us to arrive with a donor horse and emergency surgery! She didn't get out of surgery until 11pm the following night. She had cut through an artery and veins, which was why it was bleeding so bad nonstop, as well as the coffen joint but luckily it didn't get into the tendon sheath or bursa like it looked. She's so lucky to be alive and it was all because of a 17 year old girl had the WILL and LOVE to stay with her horse and not give up! You should be ashamed of taking the belief away from this girl that you were going to help her and her horse in their time of need! So so disappointed!!
May 14 · Jes KilgoreFirst time using them very knowledgeable of farm animals. Will use again baby goat doing well had her shots .
November 17 · Mona WhitlockOne of the best veterinarian groups I've ever worked with. I don't even have the words to express my appreciation for all of their hard work helping me rehab my horse who had a life-threatening injury to her leg. Whether you just need routine veterinary work done, or an emergency call, you're in great hands with this vets!
October 19 · Sydney BloomThe doctors are AMAZING. My male goat has attempted to block on 3 separate occasions and all on after hours or closed days. They are always willing to help you out and are extremely knowledgeable. Thank you so much for helping us in our times our need!!
March 06 · Brittany JacksonThese guys are awesome! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the vets really know their stuff too. It is a large farm animal vet, so they don't see dogs or cats. Prices are reasonable, you can save money by hauling your animals to their office. The vets are able to make farm calls as well, there is just an added fee. Sometimes that is worth it if you have a large number of animals or an animal that is too sick to travel. Would recommend Farmstead over other local veterinarians.
