What really stood out to us was how respectful and gentle the doctor was—there was absolutely no pressure. He gave us all the information we needed, and more importantly, the mental space to make the best decision for our cat.Before proceeding with any treatment, he recommended doing lab tests to ensure surgery would be safe. Through those tests, we discovered that our cat had developed an unknown kidney condition. Based on this, the vet advised against surgery due to the potential risk to our cat’s overall health.It’s rare to find a professional who puts the well-being of their patients above all else, even when it might mean less for their own business. I recently brought my newly adopted kitten to this pet hospital for a basic wellness exam and was seen by Dr. Nguyen. Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing and left me feeling more frustrated than reassured.Dr. Nguyen recommended multiple procedures and treatments that seemed unnecessary and felt more like upselling than genuine veterinary care. For example, I was told my kitten was due for her FVRCP vaccine—even though she had just received it two weeks prior. They also gave her a deworming treatment, despite the fact that she'd already been treated before I adopted her and showed no signs of needing it again.Worse, despite my adoption papers clearly stating that she had already been tested for FeLV, the clinic repeated the test and charged over $100 for it. They also recommended a fecal test, even though my kitten had no symptoms (no diarrhea or other signs) and had already been dewormed.What really added to my concern was that the clinic forgot to administer the deworming treatment they had recommended. We were told the visit was over until I questioned them about it—only then did they realize it hadn't been done.What should have been a straightforward, routine check-up turned into an overpriced visit packed with unnecessary tests and overlooked care. I left feeling taken advantage of rather than supported as a new pet owner.I would not recommend this clinic to anyone seeking honest, transparent veterinary care. I recently had to take a school pet (Guinea pig) in here for end-of-life care. They were very kind and fitting me in without having made an appointment. The staff was friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend this place for your pet. Also they had very reasonable prices, the same procedure at a different vet was asking $700-$800, happy valley did it for $128.
