- Ethical and Transparent Pricing: This is arguably the most outstanding highlight. Customers consistently praise the clinic for not pushing unnecessary tests and for being transparent about costs. The anecdote of a client being "pissed" at another office for an unauthorized $560 bill, contrasting with Hollis Clinic's approach of "never hiding or don't thing without checking with you," speaks volumes. This ethical stance on billing is a huge relief for pet owners managing their budget.
- Compassionate and Understanding Staff: The entire staff is described as "very nice," "wonderful," and genuinely caring for the "fur babies." They are empathetic towards owners, particularly those facing difficult decisions or managing chronic conditions in older pets. They make clients "feel comfortable" and understood, rather than judgmental.
- Focus on Essential Care: Rather than recommending "every test under the sun," the clinic focuses on "only what you want and what is really needed." This thoughtful and practical approach ensures pets receive appropriate care without unnecessary procedures, aligning with a responsible and pragmatic philosophy.
- Respect for Pet Owners' Decisions: Clients feel respected and empowered in their pet's care decisions. They appreciate that the clinic "didn't make you feel bad" for choosing not to pursue every single possible test, especially for older pets with chronic conditions. This respectful collaboration is highly valued.
- Building Trust and Positive Experiences: The overwhelming sentiment from reviews is one of deep satisfaction and relief at having found this clinic. Phrases like "So happy to have found this office!" and "Great place to take your fur babies!" indicate strong client loyalty built on trust and positive interactions.
- Gentle Care for Anxious/Skittish Pets: While not explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews, the emphasis on making animals "feel comfortable" and not pressured often extends to having a gentle touch and patient approach with pets who may be nervous during visits.

Hochstedler Anna DVM Reviews
Staff was very nice. Prices are great. I feel like from past experience with other offices, Hollis clinic didn't make your feel bad that you didn't do every test under the sun. Only what you want and what is really needed. Love that!! Our kitty is 16, has throid issues and other offices made me feel like a terrible owner for not doing everything possible, kidney test, urine, tons of blood work. The last office, I told them we can't go over $150, then the vet ordered a bunch of test ,I never authorized, and when we went to check out the total bill was a surprising $560 dollars!!! I was pissed!!So happy to have found this office! The are wonderful, never hiding or don't thing without checking with you.
