Mar 09, 2025 · Casey McNeelyFirst visit was nothing short of welcoming, professional and detailed. Front desk, intake assessment and MD exam interactions were all pleasant. I’m happy to have a new veterinary home! Dr. Dunnavant so patient and kind. He helped me find the best affordable solution for our pet allergy issues. 5 Stars!!!

May 04, 2025 · June DurhamMy one star goes out to the wonderful staff and vet techs here, but the lack of the other 4 stars is specific to JUST Dr. William Dunnavant, Jr's behavior today. When I was in 5th grade I found a kitten in the ditch across the street from my house and brought her home, without permission haha. Since then I am all grown up now, and so is she. Unfortunately my sweet heat attitude cat has lost more weight, is unable to get around the same, and has constistently been using the bathroom on rugs/carpets in the house more the older she gets. We take our family pup here and have only had better experiences, so I trusted to make an appointment to peacefully put my cat to sleep in a comfortable and safe environment. My judement failed me miserably this time, or maybe it was just Dr. William Dunnavant, Jr's horrible, aggresive, and accusatory attitude. Everything was fine from the check in to vitals until the doctor came in. He came in fine/semi unfriendly (I am a nursing student so the "Dr Cranky: steorotype just makes sense to me) He began asking us questions that he would react to the answers with scoffs of condescending laughter. It was humiliating and felt accustory like I was trying to kill an animal with my barehands. He then handled my cat in a way I have never seen her handled and it scared the absolute......... mess out of me. It was not just neck/skin grabs, it was slamming her onto the examination table, and then slamming her into her carrier, aggresively zipping it up, and asking "Is she always like this?" to which I replied "No, and she is usually never antiagoized that much either!" I made my uncomfortable-ness clear to him as a client because I felt unsafe for my pet and uncomfortable myself as a young woman with an aggresive attitude having man in the room. I can continue the story, but it ends with us being refused help/service. It ends with a very uncomfortable and shaken up young woman. I just want to make it clear that this location is wonderful, and many may enjoy Dr. William Dunnavant, Jr and his work. However, that man terrified me and made me question if he should still be in a practice the way he is if he has the shorter temper and aggresion towards clients/animals the way he did today...
Jun 23, 2025 · kenzie lipshetzThe staff at the clinic were kind and helpful, but my experience with Dr. Dunevant was extremely disappointing. I brought my dog in for an ear infection, and after spending over $600 and one month of treatment, the issue was finally resolved. During a follow-up visit, I was told my dog looked good, yet they still recommended additional tests—despite already running a culture previously. This felt unnecessary and gave the impression that the practice is more focused on generating revenue than on patient care. What was most upsetting, however, was the doctor’s unprofessional and inappropriate comment implying that I should reevaluate my financial priorities as a parent and pet owner. This kind of judgmental attitude is unacceptable and insensitive.Unfortunately, based on this experience, I cannot recommend this clinic. While the support staff were wonderful, the lack of empathy and professionalism from the veterinarian left a lasting negative impression.
