So, what is worth choosing about Memorial Cat Hospital? The answer lies in the deep contrast between the two provided reviews. While one reviewer had a shocking experience involving long waits, a perceived lack of empathy, and a dirty environment, another had a completely opposite and highly positive experience. This second reviewer was thrilled with the care their two cats received, noting that the hospital was "clean and quiet," which helped their "kitties stay calm." The positive review praises the staff as being "so sweet" and expresses that they "couldn't be happier" with the care provided. This stark difference suggests that the hospital may have inconsistencies in its service delivery, but when it is at its best, it provides exceptional care. For a pet owner, this means that while there is a risk of a negative experience, the potential for a positive one—one that results in a calm cat and a compassionate, expert team—is high. The hospital’s specialization in feline care is a powerful argument in its favor. For cats who get stressed by the general animal hospital environment, a place designed specifically for them can be a lifeline. The expertise of the doctors, as highlighted by the success story of one cat’s recovery, also points to a high standard of medical practice. For cat owners in Houston who are looking for a veterinary team that truly understands the unique needs of felines and provides a wide range of services in a calm setting, Memorial Cat Hospital is an option that is worth a serious look, with the understanding that experiences can vary.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1AVOID THIS PLACE — Shocking lack of hygiene, care, and professionalismI had a confirmed appointment at 12:00 PM and drove nearly an hour to get there. No one acknowledged me, gave an update, or even made eye contact for 45+ minutes. Only after I asked several times did they vaguely say there were “emergencies” and they didn’t know if we’d be seen at all — despite our scheduled visit.Meanwhile, the clinic was filthy: stained chairs, dirty floors, and grimy counters. It felt less like a vet clinic and more like a forgotten storage room. The front desk staff? Cold, dismissive, and condescending. My cat, who suffers from anxiety, sat trembling in her carrier — not a single person cared enough to ask or check.I left without being seen. There is no excuse for how poorly this clinic handles both pets and people. I genuinely don’t understand the positive reviews — something doesn’t add up.Do NOT risk your pet’s health or your peace of mind here.
July 05 · EkinEveryone at Memorial Cat Hospital is so sweet! My babies, Jekyll and Hyde came in at separate times for two very different problems but Dr. Rice fixed them both and they are thriving now.MCH is clean and quiet which really helped my kitties stay calm even when blood was being drawn. The team is fantastic and I couldn’t be happier with the care myboys got!
April 20 · Erica HuiCame for annual check up for my cat and annual rabies vaccine. I have been coming here for ages. Everyone is so friendly and really cares about the health of every cat I’ve brought in. Every doctor here is amazing, but for me personally, I’ve entrusted my cats with Dr. Folger and have never looked back.
July 29 · Mila SheikHighly recommend for feline friends! Very personable staff and they make the experience comfortable for cats. My cat didn’t even know she got shots. They also knew how to test for unique bladder issues when we were running around in circles with another vet. I’m very happy we found a cat specialist who knows proper feline care and testing in Memorial. We will continue to take our little girl here as long as time allows!
June 13 · Christina HoffpauirI had my first visit with Memorial Cat Hospital on Saturday and I was very happy with the care we received! I just brought my cat in for a regular exam and from the front desk staff to the vet tech to the vet everyone was SO nice. They treated my cat so well and I felt very comfortable having them care for him. I will definitely be back and I will also be bringing my other cat here as well! I wasn't a huge fan of the last vet and staff but this was a complete 180. Will definitely recommend this place!!
