The hospital's ability to see exotic animals is a major highlight, as this is a service not offered at all veterinary clinics. The compassionate care they provide during difficult times, such as end-of-life care, is also a significant feature, as highlighted by a customer review. The availability of on-site diagnostic tools like digital radiography and ultrasounds allows for quick and accurate diagnoses, which is crucial in both urgent and routine cases. When considering VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital, it is worth looking at the full range of client experiences to make an informed decision. One customer's review highlights the compassionate and kind nature of the staff, especially during the emotional process of letting go of a beloved pet. This reviewer was so impressed with the level of support and care that they chose VCA again for their new adopted dog, despite the distance from their home. This kind of testimonial speaks volumes about the trust and relationships the hospital builds with its clients. The sentiment that the hospital has "great people" and is a "great place" is a powerful recommendation.
On the other hand, another review offers a very different perspective, raising serious concerns about the hospital's practices. This pet owner felt that the hospital created a health problem for their pet with a prescribed medication, which then led to them being told to spend more money on a series of tests. This experience left the owner feeling that the hospital was more focused on "money-making" than on the pet's well-being. This kind of feedback is important to consider, as it points to the fact that individual experiences can vary greatly. The contrast between these reviews highlights a key point for any pet owner: while a hospital may have a wide range of services and skilled staff, the relationship between a doctor and a client is deeply personal. For many, the high-quality services and compassionate care are well worth choosing VCA. For others, a different approach may be needed. Ultimately, the choice of a vet is a personal one, but for those in Houston seeking a well-equipped, full-service animal hospital that can handle everything from a routine check-up to a complex surgical case, VCA Spring Branch Animal Hospital presents a strong option to consider.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Very bad experience, I would never recommend this place. I brought my pet to his annual wellness exam. He was completely fine and eating well. They prescribed a treatment for his behavior. He stopped eating on the first day of taking the medication. I informed them. The doctor told me to wait 2 or 3 days. After insisting, I told her to prescribe something for him to eat. Her response was to do a series of tests at my own expense. In summary, they make your pet sick so that you later have to spend money and recover the first free wellness exam that they offer. It is easy for them. Now I have to look for a better place to take my pet and make sure that his organs are okay and that the medication did not harm him.
August 01 · Jairo OrellanaThey are always great. Very kind.We lost our old dog Oscar to an aged dog neurological disease. He lived a good life and it broke our hearts to let him go. It was the first time we had to go through it and when we did this team helped us, comforted us and went way above and beyond in their support to help us keep it calm, peaceful and intimate. Such good people. After some time we adopted another dog from a local shelter and we KNEW that VCA would be our Veterinary team to care for Luna. It's a little far from our home but we wouldn't go anywhere else. Great place, great people.
July 14 · Chef AvilaThis was my first visit to the vet with my dog. The vet tech and doctor were both very kind and professional — they made me and my dog feel comfortable, and I appreciated the care they gave us.I was there to pick up medicine, and while the process itself was smooth, the experience at the front desk wasn’t great. The receptionist seemed a bit aggressive and didn’t greet me or ask how they could help when I approached. It felt unwelcoming, especially as a first-time visitor.I hope this is something that can be improved, because the rest of the staff was wonderful and I’d like to continue coming here with my dog.
August 01 · Katherine Adame ReyesThey sat and took time to go over everything with me and waited for me to get info from the breeder so they could make sound decisions for my pup and I could just tell they cared. I was skeptical about the free exam because nothing usually is ever free, but it actually was and came at a time when I really needed it; me and my babes will be customers for as long as we’re in the Houston area! I also witnessed some amazing customer service for an owner that say the wrong appointment and she was accommodated without hesitation. Nice place from front to back!
April 08 · Altina SmithDr. Stone took excellent care of our dog. Originally we went in for a tooth extraction, and after an exam Dr. Stone found it was something completely different. She made sure to cover everything and get us on the proper treatment plan. She has been steps ahead of everything. She’s awesome and we absolutely love Dr. Stone.
