Meridian Animal Health Introduce
For many pet owners and veterinary professionals throughout Nebraska, the name Meridian Animal Health is associated with quality health and wellness solutions for dogs and cats. While many regional businesses listed as a "Veterinarian" in Omaha are traditional clinics or hospitals, Meridian Animal Health operates with a slightly different but equally vital role in the animal health ecosystem. Based in Omaha, this company functions primarily as a supplier and distributor, focusing on developing and providing a range of products—from advanced surgical supplies to popular calming agents—that veterinarians and pet owners use every day.
Meridian Animal Health is known for introducing a line of companion animal products exclusively available through veterinarians. This inventory includes a variety of solutions aimed at promoting well-being, such as liquid sutures, natural flea, tick, and mosquito control, joint therapy supplements, and natural calming agents for dogs and cats. Their products, like the well-known Nurture Calm pheromone collars, are designed to enhance the quality of life for pets, often by addressing common issues like anxiety and behavior in a non-pharmaceutical way.
The importance of a company like Meridian Animal Health cannot be overstated for the Nebraska veterinary community. They are a critical link in the supply chain, ensuring local clinics have access to the latest, most effective tools and over-the-counter wellness products. This focus on product development and distribution, rather than direct clinical services, allows them to concentrate on innovating new ways to support General Practice vets and pet parents. Their core mission centers on advancing animal healthcare by providing information, technologies, and essential products, helping to bridge the gap between pet health needs and available solutions.
Customer feedback often highlights the company’s direct relationship with the end-user product experience. For example, the experience with their calming collar product has shown a commitment to customer satisfaction, even when issues arise. One Nebraska pet owner shared a positive experience: after a defective collar broke quickly, Meridian Animal Health’s customer service was incredibly apologetic and not only replaced the defective collar immediately but sent two replacements, demonstrating what one customer called "great customer service." While they may not be the place you take your pet for a Physical Exam, they are the company that supplies the products that help your pet stay healthy and comfortable at home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- I spoke with customer service due to a VERY poor design on the Nurture Calm Product and was told they would log my issue and “eventually someone would look at it”. I am saddened by the absolute lack of care about a disfunction in a product that otherwise works very well (pheromone collar). For anyone else wanting to use a pheromone collar, find another company. Otherwise, if you are having issues getting the collar to stay on (it doesn’t stay clasped due to a design flaw), you are going to have to either tape it, or score the collar yourself so the latch catches. I hope that helps someone, because they clearly don’t care enough about their product to help you any. May 21 · Danielle Snyder
- My Vet suggested a Calm collar for my pet so I purchased one but it broke 15 minutes after I put it on my cat. I called the collar maker which was Meridian. They were very apologetic and not only replaced my defective collar immediately....they sent TWO!! That's what I call great customer service! As long as I have a pet, I will continue to look for products made by the Meridian Animal Health company. Thank you. March 16 · christine ryder
- I don't like the break away collar. He had it on for one week and lost it. $15.00 dollars down the drain!! August 20 · Barb Lacey
