★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I brought my dog Alfred here for diagnosis after about a year of off and on front leg lameness. The facility is super clean with excellent ambiance. The staff were friendly and Dr. Bergh was great to work with. She diagnosed elbow dysplasia in both elbows. I decided to go with surgery. I was blown away by the care they provided throughout the whole process. Now, a year later, I was working with a professional trainer and she commented on how great he moves and that she never would have guessed he had undergone surgery. I would highly recommend if you suspect or are dealing with an orthopedic issue.
May 12 · kaylee nelsenFirst visit today. Clean, new facility. Spoke with other customers and obtained really positive feedback. The people there seem to really care about animals. They offered a full range of treatment options and weren’t pushing me into making an expensive choice. They even suggested options for getting some things at a lower cost. We will return with our dog for physical therapy.
December 06 · Tim Garcia-BrownMidwest veterinary exceeded all expectations. Dr. Dearman was exceptional in his care of our dog. He was thorough and deligent in every aspect of our dogs procedure and recovery. In addition, the entire staff went above and beyond in all areas of care. We could not have expected any better care or outcome for our dog. We are extremely grateful for the entire team at Midwest veterinary and would highly recommend them for orthopedic needs.
August 17 · Pamela RichterOur boy Gus (7 year old German Shepherd) developed an occasional limp in the fall of 2023 that was getting progressively worse. He's our faithful cold-weather hiking companion with over 1000 miles on the Ice Age, North Country, and Superior Hiking Trail in WI, the UP and North Shore of MN, so we were pretty devastated at the prospect of hiking without him. We went for a consult with Dr. Bergh in January. Gus had TPLO surgery in early May. Its now August 14th and Gus is pretty much back to his pre-injury status (and ready for hiking season!) Dr. Bergh is excellent. If we had to do it again, we would go to Dr. Bergh. Midwest Veterinary Specialists has a very clean and welcoming facility. Dr. Bergh (and staff) were wonderful on every level. To prospective clients (dog parents) I will say the process was probably harder on us than the dog. Its very hard to see your little buddy unable to do normal dog things during rehab. Heartbreaking at times when they need assistance just to get outside for a bathroom break and they don't understand what has happened. Its all worth it when you see them running and smiling when they are all healed up. Focus on the end result to stay positive. For prospective clients/dog parents I would also say, in addition to the cost you are quoted for surgery, keep in mind there will be additional costs for follow up care/meds etc.
August 14 · Hugh JarmisWe’re so grateful for Dr. Berg and her amazing team! The entire process from consultation to recovery was handled with expertise and kindness. Our baby boy is healing well and already more active after his 2 TPLO surgeries. The staff was supportive, answering all our questions and making sure we felt confident in aftercare. We highly recommend Midwest Veterinary Specialists for orthopedic surgeries!
