Nashville Veterinary Specialists + Animal Emergency Reviews
Absolutely the best veterinary emergency care hospital. We have been traveling from South Florida to Puerto Rico to Nashville. After a few days my 6lb 15 month Mini Schnauzer, Maya became ill, wouldn’t eat and had sudden diarrhea with bloody stools unfortunately. My best friend who lives in Nashville chose the place, we called and immediately went over. Julie and Kristi took care of us at the front desk and within 15 mins she was tested by the sweetest caring Nurse Matt outside in our vehicle for Parvo. It was negative. Then we went inside, they took her for fluids and sent us home with meds and probiotics. They gave her extra fluids so we could rush back to Puerto Rico the next morning. Most likely was caused by stress & travel they said or she picked up something along the way. Her diarrhea stopped soon as she had probiotics and med. We arrived to PR and she was happy and playing a little bit. Dr. Kennedy explained everything and she made sure to offer everything available to my dog for us to decide. Matt came back and explained in detail all the meds and process to administer. You can tell my dog felt comfortable and safe with him. Thank you Matt! And thank you to everyone there. The place is excellent, clean and professional.
May 12, 2025 · Paola AtakanAble to see us very quickly and they really helped my two dogs! You could tell they loved dogs and loved what they do. They treated them well and were very affordable. We ended up getting 2 rabies shots and a check up and were happy with everything.
Apr 04, 2025 · Juno LAs a healthcare professional (but for humans) I have really high expectations for any kind of care. My cat (one of 3 , her name is Japan) recently started getting nausea and vomiting and I thought probably just some enteritis. Turns out she had a raging urine infection. Starting with the check in I wish I got the woman’s name but she was great. Quick registration, few questions, and then one of other young ladies came to get us. I assume she was a nurse but she was taking notes during the exam, talked about common options, and I felt so comfortable leaving Japan with her for some testing. Soon after I met Dr Kelly Clark (it was about 90 minutes, I did come in at what was likely shift change and they also said having some early labs would help. I’m an ER doc so it fits!). Doc came in, discussed options, and we had a plan. Yes, you have to leave a deposit. Yes it’s 1/2 of the estimate. They have care credit and other options. Then I met the next nurse she was also awesome (I was so worried, I forgot to get names) but everyone start to finish including checkout was great. No, it’s not cheap, but you get a lot of value and having this available isn’t free. Will hope to not need them but if I do, I will be back. Love you all! Even Japan was happy and is eating and drinking again
Mar 27, 2025 · D. Mar.We recently had to take our golden retriever, Cash, to Nashville Vet Specialists & Animal Emergency, and we couldn’t have asked for better care. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly attentive and kept us informed every step of the way. Cash spent 2.5 days there due to serious GI issues, and we always felt reassured knowing he was in excellent hands. One moment that truly stood out was when one of the vet techs called him “Cashie”—a name only we use for him. The second I heard that, I immediately felt at ease, knowing he was not just being cared for but genuinely loved. The team provided 24-hour monitoring, performed an ultrasound, and regularly called with updates, which meant so much to us. When it was time for discharge, they gave us clear and detailed instructions, making the transition home smooth and stress-free. Thanks to their expertise and compassion, Cash is feeling so much better! We are beyond grateful for their kindness and professionalism.Highly recommend Nashville Vet Specialists & Animal Emergency to anyone in need of top-tier emergency vet care!
Mar 17, 2025 · Irina “Ira” HinesOur 5yr old kitty had seen 3 veterinarians prior that were unable to successfully diagnose her. This started in Sep 2024 and had entailed 7 or 8 vet visits. The last veterinarian's office had been great, and they referred us to Nashville Veterinary Specialists. Finally, after one appointment and some tests in April 2025, we have some answers and kitty seems to be improving greatly! With her medicine, she's eating and drinking well and has put on a tiny bit of weight. While also not experiencing the painful side effects she had been dealing with.We are so thankful for Dr Trzil's expertise and professionalism, as well as everyone else we have interacted with. The ENTIRE staff has been incredibly patient, professional, kind, and have displayed a great deal of care and compassion in every interaction.Nashville Veterinary Specialists' care, facilities, and expertise has been invaluable. I highly recommend this team. Our kitty is getting back to her silly self, and we appreciate all of you so very much for every part you played in helping her- thank you!
