Wellness and Preventative Care: This foundational service includes routine physical examinations, age-appropriate vaccination programs tailored to individual pet needs, comprehensive parasite control (flea, tick, heartworm, and intestinal parasite testing and prevention), and personalized nutritional and behavioral counseling to promote long-term health and well-being.
Diagnostic Capabilities: Equipped with modern diagnostic tools to accurately identify various health issues. This likely includes in-house laboratory services for rapid blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams, as well as diagnostic imaging such as digital radiography (X-rays) for examining bones and soft tissues. This allows for quick and precise diagnoses.
Medical Consultations and Treatment: Diagnosis and management of a wide range of common and complex medical conditions, including infections, allergies, dermatological issues, and chronic diseases. They focus on developing effective and individualized treatment plans.
Puppy and Kitten Programs: Tailored wellness programs for young pets, focusing on initial vaccinations, deworming, developmental guidance, and essential advice for new pet parents to ensure a healthy and happy start to life.
Geriatric Pet Care: Specialized care plans for senior pets, focusing on early detection and management of age-related conditions (e.g., arthritis, organ disease, cognitive dysfunction), pain management, and maintaining optimal quality of life in their golden years.
Behavioral Counseling: Guidance and support for common behavioral issues such as anxiety, aggression, house-soiling, and destructive behaviors. The team works with owners to understand and address these challenges, improving the pet-owner bond.
Medication and Pharmacy Services: Dispensing necessary medications for various conditions, potentially with an in-house pharmacy for convenience, ensuring pets receive the treatments they need promptly.
Emergency and Urgent Care Stabilization: While not necessarily a 24/7 emergency hospital, general practices are equipped to handle urgent, non-life-threatening conditions during business hours. They can provide immediate stabilization and guidance or referrals to specialized emergency centers when necessary.
Nutritional Guidance: Expert advice on proper diet, weight management programs, and dietary recommendations for pets with specific health conditions or sensitivities.

Exceptionally Kind and Welcoming Staff: From the moment clients "step in," the entire team is described as "very lovely." Veterinary technicians are praised for being "full of compliments" for pets, showcasing a genuine love for animals and a warm, approachable demeanor. This consistent kindness makes a huge difference, especially for pets who might otherwise be nervous.
Pet-Comfort Focused Environment: The hospital itself is highlighted as being "very clean and welcoming," even likened to "a spa for pets." This attention to creating a calm and inviting atmosphere helps reduce stress for animals during their visits. The fact that a usually shy cat "happily accepted head rubs" while out of her carrier speaks volumes about the soothing environment they cultivate.
Understanding and Accommodating for Anxious Pets: A significant highlight is their empathetic approach to pets who are not cooperative or are experiencing anxiety during visits. In a remarkable instance, when a "super grumpy" dog "needed to muzzle up but he just wasn't having any of it" and couldn't get his checkup, the staff demonstrated incredible understanding. They provided "meds for his next visit to keep him calm" and, notably, "didn't even charge for the visit." This level of compassion and consideration for both the pet's stress and the owner's financial burden is outstanding.
Considerate Financial Practices: The decision to not charge for a visit where the pet couldn't be examined, and to provide calming medication without charge, is a "super considerate move." This highlights a practice that genuinely cares "more about the animals than the money," a rare and deeply appreciated quality in veterinary care, making services more accessible and less stressful for pet parents.
Awesome and Supportive Staff: Beyond specific incidents, the general consensus is that NHVH has "awesome staff." Their supportive attitude, particularly in challenging situations, reinforces their reputation as a team truly dedicated to their patients and clients.
High Client Satisfaction and Recommendation: Clients unequivocally state they "10/10 recommend" the hospital and are "sure you won't be disappointed." This high level of satisfaction, often driven by word-of-mouth recommendations from "friends," speaks to the consistent quality of care and positive experience provided.

Friends recommended NHVH and I can attest, everyone there is very lovely from the moment you step in. My sweet kitty usually hides once she’s out of the carrier, but happily accepted head rubs and the vet techs were full of compliments for my sweet gal💕 The space itself is very clean and welcoming - it’s like a spa for pets. We look forward to continued support of NHVH!

May 23, 2025 · Tony VegaI have been a patient for years. As I was waiting for bloodwork for my dog. They called the cops on me and said I was publicly drunk or intoxicated. I had just gotten of the phone after a breakup. My eyes were bloodshot but now I have to go to court. My lawyer is gonna sue for any lawyer or court costs.

Apr 19, 2025 · Christopher CushmanThis is my second review of New Hope Veterinary Hospital. Again, I have to say how wonderful they have been for our family. We have a 2 year old Yorkie mix with multiple issues ranging from allergies, anaphylactic to bees and colitis. Every single issue we have had the front desk has been accommodating and kind. They always get us in as quickly as they can. I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Struening, who is extremely knowledgeable and so sweet to our boy Moose. We have come in with mysterious issues and she has always gotten to a successful diagnosis. The vet technicians always greet Moose with a big smile and have been so welcoming to us with every situation. We highly recommend New Hope Veterinary hospital to anyone looking.
