When choosing a veterinarian for your pet in California, a balance of professional expertise and genuine care is paramount. Newport Beach Veterinary Hospital has a reputation for being a place where pets and their owners are treated like family. The positive feedback from long-term clients speaks volumes about the high level of care they provide. One client, for example, expresses deep gratitude for the "level of care, attention, and affection" their bulldog receives, highlighting the strong, trusting relationship they have built with the staff. The consistent availability and support from the "Cohens" and their team have made them a reliable choice for the family.
However, it is also important for potential clients to consider the full range of experiences. An unfulfilled service, such as the one described in a negative review regarding a failed OFA submission and a lack of communication, can be a source of frustration and is a serious concern. While such an isolated incident might not reflect the overall quality of care, it underscores the importance of clear communication and prompt follow-up, which are vital components of any professional service. It is a reminder for clients to ensure all details and commitments are clearly documented and confirmed.
Despite this, the consistent positive feedback from satisfied clients suggests that many pets and their owners have found a reliable and caring home for their veterinary needs. For those in Newport Beach seeking a clinic that offers a blend of general practice and specialized internal medicine, along with the convenience of boarding and bathing, Newport Beach Veterinary Hospital remains a valuable option. The commitment to compassionate care and expertise, as celebrated by long-term clients, makes it a worthy consideration for the health and well-being of your beloved dog or cat.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The one star is for the champagne they provided before stealing my money. I went in nearly 1 year ago to get OFA’s on my dog and they were never sent in. I’ve called numerous times and was told I would get a call back and nothing. Deborah won’t call anyone back or give me a refund. I understand things happen and would be very understanding if the files were lost or what not, but having no answer and no one will contact me back for an update is absolutely ridiculous and theft at this point. The services were not provided but they had no problem taking my money. I will be turning this hospital into the veterinary board and OFA.
May 27 · Cassie VillarrealWe love the Cohens and so does our bulldog Maggie! The level of care, attention, and affection she gets from this vet is at the highest of levels. They have always been there for us and for her when needed and are so grateful we found them.
February 26 · Jacob JaffkeI wouldn't have given any stars but your not able to post with out one.I have used Deb Cohen for years, I had heard that she was sick in and out of the hospital. Question is.. why is she still taking OFA X-rays and not submitting them? my appt was June 22,24 . it's been 5 months. I am still waiting on them to be submitted! she has now screwed with my breading program! my girls are due in, in the next month! we need to stop her insanity! I call about every two weeks no reply.
November 14 · Cheyenne KruseI had a terrible experience with Deborah Cohen. She took X-rays for OFA tests and never submitted them to OFA. OFA told me that no tests were sent in the last 3 weeks so I suspect there are lots of other angry and frustrated customers. I had left her 3 messages with her staff and nobody ever called me back. I am going to report Deborah to California Veterinary Medical Board and recover payment with my credit card company. I hope Deborah will lose her license and stop frauding her customers.
August 26 · Cute PuppyDr Cohen saved my Yama from a horrible death. His care and attention to the "kids" showed his true love for our furry friends.
