★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I love my bandit. From the 1st visit I was comfortable. I believe they are master schedulers. It's never chaotic or overly crowded. I have a terrier Pit and I'm always careful with how others feel about them. Thought mine in gentle and loving. Every one here at NHAH know what's going on in every moment. Dr. Owen is so loving, knowledgeable and I completely trust her.
July 26 · maryeanne camposWhile Newport Harbor Animal Hospital is not our normal vet, my wife and I went there this past Saturday because our older and very sick chihuahua Miles appeared to be on his last legs. Dr. Keely McLaughlin and her wonderful staff were extremely gentle with both Miles & us throughout the entire euthanization process and we are forever grateful for their excellent bedside manner and compassion.
July 28 · Andrew JacobsI’ve been to so many veterinarian offices from LA to Orange Country to Palm Springs and Vegas , and this one is by far the best! The staff is exceptional; They are very welcoming and friendly and on top of everything. The vet tech we saw was super sweet and our dog loved her. Dr Kevin Ashbran is amazing! You can tell he genuinely loves being a veterinarian and loves animals. Very personable and explains every little detail thoroughly in a way that a non doctor would understand 😊 he will get down on the floor with your dog eye to eye and that to me is the sign of an incredible vet. Also I called on a Friday as a new patient and they got me in right away 2 days later.
June 13 · ninie lewisWe took our 2 precious dogs for new patient exams, vaccines and 4 hours of daycare. Everyone there was so nice and helpful. We have never left them anywhere before and we were comfortable leaving them there. They were very relaxed and calm when we picked them up. Wonderful staff.
August 11 · Sandy WaldenDO NOT RECOMMEND — Dishonest and Unprofessional CareI brought my 8-year-old dog here on a Sunday because my regular vet, Quail Hill Animal Hospital (the best vet practice I’ve ever experienced), was closed. My dog, who has never had accidents indoors, had two accidents in 12 hours and was also limping slightly. The tech’s dismissive comment — “So your dog’s peeing a lot, that’s the complaint?” — was my first red flag. The vet spent no more than five minutes with my dog, was cold and unengaged, then took her for a urinalysis. I was told results would be ready the next day. Not only did they never call me with results, but when I followed up, they told me the sample I paid $114 for was “too dilute” and recommended a $400 urine culture. To make matters worse, they performed an unauthorized abdominal ultrasound (charged $81) — the vet NEVER informed me this would be done. It was never discussed, consented to, or explained. And after taking my dog to the back, the vet never returned to speak with me about the results or next steps.Contrast this with Quail Hill Animal Hospital, where the vets sit on the floor with your pet, spend real time addressing every concern, run labs and diagnostics immediately, and explain everything to you directly — no confusion, no hidden charges, and no dismissive attitudes. This place was a complete waste of money and gave me serious concerns about their transparency and ethics. I will never return and strongly urge others to avoid this practice.
