Ease of access is a significant advantage in a large metropolitan area like Los Angeles, reducing travel time for routine visits or during urgent situations.
Regarding parking, while specific details for this exact address are not provided in the reviews, locations on major boulevards in Los Angeles often have a combination of street parking or dedicated small lots. However, some comments for other clinics on Olympic Boulevard indicate that parking can sometimes be tricky or require arriving early to secure a spot. Olympic Pet Hospital provides a comprehensive range of general veterinary services aimed at maintaining the health and well-being of dogs and cats. Their offerings span from preventive care to diagnostics and surgical procedures. Based on typical general veterinary hospital services and available public data, the clinic likely offers:
Wellness Care and Comprehensive Exams: Regular head-to-tail physical examinations are fundamental to preventive care, helping to monitor overall health, detect potential issues early, and provide tailored advice on nutrition, exercise, and preventative measures for pets of all ages, from puppies and kittens to seniors.
Vaccinations: Essential vaccinations for common and serious infectious diseases (e.g., rabies, distemper/parvovirus for dogs; feline leukemia for cats) are routinely administered to protect pets and the wider community. Discussions on core and non-core vaccines are likely part of the service.
Parasite Prevention and Control: Services include screening, prevention, and treatment for both internal (e.g., heartworms, intestinal worms) and external (e.g., fleas, ticks) parasites, crucial for pet health and public safety.
Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services are essential, as a significant percentage of pets develop dental disease by a young age. This typically includes professional dental cleanings, examinations, and potentially extractions or other oral surgeries as needed.
Surgical Services: The hospital is equipped to perform various general surgical procedures, which often include spaying and neutering, soft tissue surgeries, and potentially some orthopedic procedures. Pre-surgical assessments and post-operative care are integral parts of these services.
Diagnostics: Utilizing medical imaging tools such as radiographs (X-rays) and potentially ultrasound to evaluate internal organs and bones, aiding in the accurate diagnosis of a wide range of conditions. In-house laboratory tests for blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams would also be standard.
Nutrition Counseling: Providing individualized advice on proper diet, serving sizes, and feeding strategies to support a pet's health, manage weight, and address any specific dietary needs or medical conditions.
Urgent Care (during hospital hours): While not a 24/7 emergency hospital, Olympic Pet Hospital is likely equipped to handle urgent care needs during its operational hours, for conditions that require prompt attention but are not immediately life-threatening, such as minor injuries, vomiting, or diarrhea, schedule permitting.
Olympic Pet Hospital in Los Angeles exhibits several distinctive features and highlights, as reflected in customer feedback, which speak to both its strengths and areas where client experiences can vary.
Caring and Transparent Care: A standout highlight is the highly praised "caring and transparent care." This suggests a commitment to not only providing medical treatment but also to clearly communicating with pet owners about diagnoses, treatment plans, and costs. Such transparency builds trust and helps owners make informed decisions for their pets.
Top-Notch Service: One enthusiastic reviewer describes the service as "top-notch," indicating a high standard of professional and attentive care for the pets. This implies a dedication to quality in all interactions and medical procedures.
Ability to Manage "Quirky Requests": The mention of managing "quirky requests perfectly" suggests a flexible and accommodating approach from the staff. This personalized attention, even amidst busy periods, can make a significant difference for pet owners with unique needs or anxious pets.
Dedicated and Hardworking Staff: The hospital is described as "always busy," yet the staff "somehow manage" to provide excellent service. This indicates a hardworking and dedicated team that strives to maintain quality care even under pressure.
Community Trust (as seen by loyalty): One review, despite expressing recent disappointment, highlights having "used this hospital many years," suggesting a long history of trust and patronage from some clients. This long-standing relationship indicates a foundation of reliable service in the past.
Popularity and High Demand: The observation that they are "always busy" and the tongue-in-cheek request for others to "find another place" due to long waits, implicitly points to the hospital's popularity and high demand for its services, often a sign of a reputable practice.
It's important to acknowledge that customer experiences can be subjective, and while many highlight positive aspects like caring staff and transparency, others have noted challenges related to front desk service and wait times. This suggests that while the medical care is highly regarded, aspects of the client-facing experience at the front desk may vary.

Olympic Pet Hospital Reviews
I bring my pup to this amazing vet clinic, where the service is top-notch, so please find another place for your pet’s needs. I don’t want longer waits for their caring and transparent care! They’re always busy but somehow manage my quirky requests perfectly. If you absolutely must come for their exceptional pet care, we can share the wait in the reception area.
Jul 01, 2025 · Joseph KangDo not use this hospital. the front desk a girl who is very rude and doesn't know how to serve their customers. I have been used this hospital many years and I felt like they are not uneducated people, which mean they never learned how to treat their visitors. I rather recommend Vermont pet hospital that the front desk crews are very nice and willing help even without appointment. the park lot is very big, inside is very clean and reasonable charge. I don't ever go this one anymore.
Jun 19, 2025 · Daniel JungI’ve been coming here for a year, my cat has end stage renal failure and I like this vet, $80 for visit and $200 for blood work . I buy IV fluids from chewy. The front desk girls are nice and friendly and I have no complaints about the three different vets we’ve seen there
Jun 30, 2025 · paddington bearI’ve been coming here for almost 10 years now, and I really want to support a fellow Korean and family owned local small business. Unfortunately I feel disappointed with my recent visit with Dr. Kwon, who I believe is the owner of this hospital.I brought my pet in for a routine check up, and I came with some questions. I think Dr. Kwon stayed for 3-5 minutes. He wasn’t rude in his tone, but his words were very short. Like when he suggested surgery, I asked if he does it here. He said “no I don’t do it anymore.” I asked, “where should I go then?” He replied, “a surgeon.”Honestly, what kind of answer is that…? Of course I know to go to a surgeon for surgery. I asked, “do you have any referrals?” He said, “ortho. An ortho surgeon.” I felt so so frustrated. It’s crazy to think I could get better answers with chatGPT than my primary vet, but it was true in this instance.I paid $80+ to have a vet have one foot out the door while I ask him questions about the vaccines ordered for today. I stopped asking anything else because it was abundantly clear he didn’t want to engage in any more conversation.I have been here many other times with the other vets, and I believe one of them is his daughter. I always thought she was very kind and patient. I have not interacted with Dr. Kwon much, so I was pretty shocked by this experience.I understand it’s busy and stressful. I can see that the staff work very hard. That’s why I liked coming here. But I think you owe it to your clients with just a litttttle more effort.
Jun 27, 2025 · JMLWorst service ever!!!! This place treated me with no sympathy. They always try to overcharge me for everything. They were trying to charge me $200 for bringing in my dog today as an emergency fee. They weren't even nice enough to try to squeeze me in a schedule. Why would you want to go to a vet that has no sympathy over the pet owner but has no problem offering to charge you more? I've also had previous incident where I went to this vet spent less than a minute having the vet look over my pet and charge me $140 for doing nothing! Literally a minute. If you want to be overcharged then be my guest!
